 EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND •

THE UNIVERSITY OF SHEFFIELD – England Sept 2006-Sept 2007

Master in Advanced Metallurgy, Graduated from the Material Engineering Department of the University of Sheffield .My Mmet Project done in this master course involves the analysis of the inclusion of Mn/Si/Al killed steel, treated with calcium”, this project was sponsored by Corus group (Steel producer) and thus Getting distinction. •

INTERNAL AUDITOR - ISO 9001 CERTIFIED BY BUREAO VERA VERITAS Jun 2004 IRCA: Sessions done in Hotel “Golf los Incas” -Peru

TECHNOLOGICAL INSTITUTE “TECSUP” March – Nov 2002

This course basically involved plant maintenance, getting one of the best overall average. The following subjects were taken into this course: Industrial Maintenance Hydraulic system Mechanical maintenance Manufacture for Maintenance

UNIVERSIDAD NACIONAL DE INGENIERIA ( National engineering University -PERU) 1995 – 2001

Bachelor in Metallurgy, graduated from the Mining, geology and Metallurgy department of the Universidad Nacional de Ingeniería, ranked within the first onethird among the 12 undergraduate students.  PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE 1. FIRST SUBSEA (British company specialised in ball and taper technology) ( 2007 until the present time) Associate metallurgist (KTP associate) • •

Working on Heat treatment of large scale forged billet I have developed a 2D Heat transfer model in visual Basic program that combines conductive and convective heat transfer equation. This model is used to simulate the quenching process for different billet size and predict structure and mechanical properties in places where Charpy impact test and tensile test are performed. Developing a visual basic program that determine the boundary condition between the quenched billet and quenching media in term of convective heat transfer coefficient.

2. CORPORACION ACEROS AREQUIPA (Steel Producer). 2003-2005 Manager of quality control department in the steelmaking division • • • •

Dealing with both steelmaking division and continuous casting department to determine the optimum conditions to achieve good steel quality. Developing new process parameters according to our facilities and conditions during the production of low, medium and high carbon steel killed with Mn/Si and aluminium. Finding optimums parameters to avoid internal and superficial defects during the production of Billets. Control of mechanical properties of our Final Product such Rebar, structural steel, microalloyed steel, ornamental steel to satisfy international specification ASTM. For that purpose, regression model was carried out to predict the yield strength having as variables residual elements such as Sn, Cr, Cu, Ni, Mo. Internal auditor focus on processes, customer satisfaction and procedures applicable to service providers as manufacturers with greater emphasis on process management and measurement, continual improvement with greater top management involvement.

 PRE-PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCES 1. ACEROS BOHLER DEL PERU. (Heat treatment plant ) Nov – Dic 2002 •
