Culture and arts As the state capital of Selangor, Shah Alam houses much of the fascinating history and culture of its multiracial people in the Selangor State Museum (Muzium Sultan Alam Shah). The Shah Alam Gallery meanwhile produces and displays a multitude of art works in the form of paintings and literature. The Culture Park (Laman Budaya) is also the venue where culture and heritage are fostered in the form of games, dances and craftsmanship. In addition, SACC has its own orchestra group, the Shah Alam Orchestra, which performs twice a year at the Shah Alam City Council Auditorium.
