CRITICAL ANALYSIS OF THE ADVERTISEMENT OF NECC “SUNDAY HO YA MONDAY…” BRANDNECC

BASELINE SUNDAY HO YA MONDAY

Why this advertisement I chose this advertisement only for that cute kid, who creates a lovable feeling towards him. And another thing is that it give a social messages for us that how an egg help us for constructing our health.

DESCRIPTION A young kid on breakfast table tells his father that his friends’ father speaks against eating eggs during summers. His father instead passes the question to the kid’s grandfather who further questions the great grandfather who emphatically highlights the energizing abilities of eggs and says with pride how he defeated the kid’s friend’s grandfather in wrestling many times. And then the whole family sings the old adage about eating eggs daily in every season i.e. “Sunday ho ya Monday….. Roj khao ande”.

JUSTIFICATION The use of a former macho actor like Dara Singh personifies the qualities of eggs perfectly though the ad has become cliché as it lacks the hidden element of humor or surprise. Yet, the simplicity and the single minded focus of the message give this

one an appeal that hits a chord with the viewers. The use of family linage to show the tradition of eating eggs in the family is a power packed concept that would surely connect with the people in North India.
