CRG-MAXTER WINS THE SUPER KF DRIVERS AND TEAM TITLES IN THE WSK SERIES WITH ARNAUD KOZLINSKI THE CRG-MAXTER DRIVER ARNAUD KOZLINSKI WITH A SECOND PLACE IN THE LAST ROUND OF THE WSK CHAMPIONSHIP IN LONATO WINS THE TITLE IN THE SUPER KF CATEGORY. THE ITALIAN COMPANY ALSO WINS THE TITLE FOR TEAMS. Lonato (Brescia), November 1st 2009. Another sensational success for CRG and Maxter, even better it was a double success the one conquered in Lonato by the Italian company in the final race of the WSK International Series. The seventh and last act of the season took place on the South Garda Karting circuit and the French Arnaud Kozlinski of CRGMaxter won the prestigious title of the Super KF “queen” category, celebrating in the best possible way the recent World title obtained two weeks before in Macao. It was a double success indeed because further to the drivers title, CRG also won the prestigious Team title thanks to the second position of Kozlinski and the fourth place of Brandon Maisano in addition to the tenth place of Davide For‚. In order to mathematically win the title, Kozlinski had absolutely to conquer at least the second place and so he did, with a race full of unexpected events and great suspense. His opponents for the title were the classification leader Cesetti and Gary Catt: both drivers were anyway forced to withdraw before the finish of the long 38 laps final. Cesetti in spite of the withdrawal could anyway compete for the title forcing “Koko” to gain at least 30 points with a second place. After an Kozlinski on the WSK podium at Lonato. initial duel with Ardig€ and later on also with the Zcech Maranello driver Groman and Catt, since the second half of the race “Koko” succeeded in keeping the second position behind Ardig€ till the end of the race. Thanks to this good performance the French driver well deserved to win the Super KF title, confirming at the same time the great reliability of the Maxter engine and the perfect set up of the CRG chassis. At a certain point “Koko” could have been able to even attack Ardig€’s first position but he preferred to avoid any risk giving this way as a present to CRG-Maxter the third title of the season, after the World Cup title conquered by Jonathan Thonon in KZ1 and his victory in the Super KF World Championship. As for the other CRG drivers, the French Brandon Maisano with LH chassis finished fourth after having been in the third position and having made a wonderful recovery, while Thonon was forced to withdraw at half race just when he was producing his attack. Just before that Eddy Tinini and Oliver Rowland (LH) had to give up because of an accident. Kozlinski was obviously very happy, rightly proud for having reached a very difficult goal: “I started well this race with my best timing in the Superpole, then in the heats it was difficult to find the right set-up of my kart. Before the Final I wanted to risk everything and together with my mechanic and my team we made a series of important technical changes. During the warm-up these changes proved to be okay, everything went very well so I could start the final in the best possible conditions. Kozlinski at Lonato towards the WSK title. After the battles at the beginning, when I overtook Catt and Groman and got the second position, the last 10 laps made me understand that the title was very close. For this reason I tried to control the position without forcing, I calmed down and ended with that second place which made me win the title. I really wish to thank all my team and of course my mechanics for the great work done before the Final.” Giancarlo Tinini, President of C.R.G. S.p.A.: “Excellent result. Last year we had lost both the WSK and the Super KF titles, but this year we have won both of them, further to the World title of Thonon in KZ1. This was a difficult race for us because we were forced to make a result at any cost to be able to win the title, so we had to avoid any mistake and so we did. In the future we will also work on the younger categories and we will invest on drivers who might give us the result. I think we will do very well also in KF3 and KF2”.
