LOCALIZED POLICY OF DIVISION OF ISABELA ON THE CONDUCT OF SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL CATCH UP PROGRAM

I.

RATIONALE: In order to cope up and secure students’ academic achievement and to fulfill the obligations mandated by the Department of Education memorandums and guidelines, the Senior High School curriculum has developed a “catch up plan” tool for Senior High School students who will not able to complete the eighty hours (80) required to finish a subject due to emergency cases such as: sick leave due to hospitalization, compete in a School/Division/Regional/National competition such as CAVRAA, and students who worked in the farm during planting and harvesting seasons.

SCOPE: The Grade 12 Senior High School students under the learning area Statistics and Probability who are not be able to complete the eighty hour required time in finishing one subject due to emergency cases such as: sick leave due to hospitalization, compete in a School/Division/Regional/National competition such as CAVRAA, and students who worked in the farm during planting and harvesting seasons.

Catch-up Program – program mandated by the Department of Education as mandated by the Schools Division of Isabela for subject competencies that need to cope up specifically in their academic achievements  Students on Leave (hospitalized) – students who are hospitalized or got sick and not possibly able to attend their classes.  Athletes – students who are competing to official competition initiated by the Department of Education.  Working Students- student who are from the low income family who work in the farm during planting and harvesting season to provide money for their family and for their own education.
