SAIA Group Ltd is a parent company, holding shares in four operating companies. The name ‘SAIA’ is derived from ‘Shor Aros Interiors & Architecture’ – the group having been formed by the merger of SHOR and AROS companies in October 2005. The owners of SAIA Group Ltd are Richard Bennett and Simon Kendall (from SHOR) and Chris Cotton (from AROS). Some directors of the subsidiary companies own shares in their respective companies. This share-owing arrangement is presently being extended to allow all directors of subsidiary companies to be stake holders in their respective businesses. The two operating companies are as follows: SHOR Associates Ltd Workplace consultancy, specialising in interior design and planning of office accommodation for occupiers. AROS Architects Ltd Architectural practice, specialising in commercial development in leisure, office and residential markets.
