Copyright Filing India it requires an application on Form – IV under the copyright act along with statement of particulars (SOP) and statement of further particulars (SOFP) in triplicate. The Form – IV should be signed only by the applicant. Copyright is the right given under the law to the authors or artist or creators of the original literary, dramatic, musical and artistic works, cinematograph films, and sound recordings. For each work separate application should be made for registering copyright under the act. The fee as prescribed under the act should accompany each application for registration of copyright. The application for the copyright shall be sent to the Copyright Office, Department of Education, Ministry of Human Resource Development, B - 2/W - 3, Curzon Road Barracks, Kasturba Ghandhi Marg, New Delhi – 110001. The Register of Copyrights shall be prima facie evidence of the particulars entered therein and documents purporting to be copies of any entries therein, or extracts there from certified by the Registrar and sealed with the seal of the Office shall be admissible in evidence in all courts without further proof or production of the original.
