Dear Selection Committee, My name is Matthew Ybarra and I currently teach Special Education and coach track at El Capitan High School. Stephanie Galvan has asked me to write a letter of recommendation on her behalf and I am more than happy to comply. I have had the pleasure of working with Stephanie for the past 2 years and can speak regarding her academics and work ethic. Stephanie is currently a senior here at El Capitan high school and has been member of the Pacific Club this past year volunteering her time as well as a Peer Mentor in the Severely Handicapped classroom. During her time as part of the club she has exhibited a dedicated work ethic. She comes to work ready to do the daily task and is always looking for ways to improve by seeking out help or advice from others. Stephanie is motivated to succeed and brings that attitude to her daily life. Her dedication to her job and what she does is a reflection of her in class performance. Stephanie is a dedicated hard working student. She has maintained a 3.0 since her sophomore year here at El Capitan High School. Stephanie currently has a 3.0 GPA. While attending El Capitan High School she has been a mentor to all students that she comes in contact with in her classes. With all her experience Stephanie has provided leadership to students she interacts in her tenure with through the Pacific club. Stephanie is a well-organized student who understands the importance of balancing school and extracurricular activities with her everyday life. This balance has prepared her for the future that she has ahead for herself. Overall, Stephanie has proven to be a great student in and outside of the classroom. Stephanie is currently applying to colleges to continue with her education and pursue her dream. College is an important next step to her. She is motivated to attend college and pursue college. She wants to make her family proud and continue her success in a higher education. With all of her accomplishments and understanding of the what it takes to succeed Stephanie is well prepared to move on. It is my recommendation that Stephanie will be a great representative of any scholarships or employment that she has applied for. If you have any questions or would like to know more about Stephanie feel free to contact me. Sincerely,

Matthew Ybarra El Capitan High School Special Education/ Track Coach/ Cross Country Coach (209) 384-5500 Email: [email protected]
