Command Sergeant Major William R. Jones Jr. is native of Greenville, SC. He entered military service on 1 December 1981. He attended Basic and Advance Individual Training at Fort Benning Georgiawhere he was awarded the Military Occupational Specialty of 11B. His military education includes the Warriors Leader’s Course, BNCOC, ANCOC, the Senior Enlisted Naval Academy Course, Instructors Training Course, the Bradley Transition Course, and the Bradley Master Gunners Course.
