Is Mr. Big Back for ‘Sex and the City 2’? APR 29, 2009 09:20A.M. Is Chris Noth aka Mr. Big, ready for more ‘Sex and the City’ — read on for details. Noth has indeed signed on for the movie ‘Sex and the City 2’ Variety reports. Warner Bros. and New Line plan to release the sequel to the big screen version of the popular television show on May 28, 2010, the trade paper says. Chris Noth will reprise his role as “Mr. Big” in Sex and the City 2, while Evan Handler and David Eigenberg are returning as well. The trio join foursome Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall, Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon in the sequel, to be directed by Michael Patrick King. APR 29, 2009 08:44A.M. “The Insider” was in Hollywood on Tuesday night with Hugh Jackman, Halle Berry, Ryan Reynolds, and will.I.am at the premiere of the highly anticipated ‘X-Men Origins: Wolverine.’ The stars tell “The Insider” about working on the film and Hugh opens up about his karaoke jam session with ‘Twilight’ hunk Robert Pattinson! “That guy has got a voice on him, there’s an album coming,” Hugh says about the multi-talented young heartthrob. “If he wants to do it, there’s an album coming.” ‘XMen Origins: Wolverine’ is the first chapter in the ‘X-Men’ saga, and unites Wolverine with several other legends of the mutant universe. Ryan Reynolds tells “The Insider” that his role as Deadpool is one he has wanted to play for a long time. “It means a lot to me to be able to do different types of genres and to not be stuck in one area,” Ryan says. “I’ve wanted to play the Deadpool character for 9 years, so getting to do it in this setting is unbelievable — when all the pressure is on Hugh.” Watch the video for more action from the premiere and to hear Hugh’s message to Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick. Aside from a brief dalliance playing Macro in Trailer for a Remake of Gore Vidal’s Caligula, Benicio Del Toro has been laying on the serious work ever since his snatchy time as Franky Four Fingers. But it looks like he’s finally lightening up the load again. While I wouldn’t say that the Moe gig in The Three Stooges is the best way to go about it, there’s another project cooking that could remind us of the glory days of Benicio and Johnny hallucinating their way through Vegas. In a talk with MTV, Bret Easton Ellis said that the gestating Lunar Park adaptation is in some state of pre-production and: “Oddly enough, Benicio Del Toro I think is going to do it.” Why oddly? “Benicio would actually be playing Bret Easton Ellis. It’s a strange bit of casting.” Indeed — it’s not every day that Del Toro gets to bite at an anglo role. Lunar Park is a mix between fact and fiction, taking nibbles from Ellis’ early fame (drug use, Glamorama book tours), and then morphing it into ghost story as he moves into a haunted house in a fictional New York City suburb. The AV Club called it a “quasi-plausible” “domestic horrorcomedy.” While the actor might be far from my first choice visually for Ellis, I can’t help but love the thought of him getting into the writer’s darkly comic world. The High School Musical sweethearts caught up with other BFF Brittany Snow at the event. Vanessa, 20, most recently covers the June 2009 issue of Brazil’s Caras magazine. She shared about the last time she was in Brazil, saying, “The show [HSM concert] in Morumbi, in São Paulo, was the largest that we already did. [It was] fantastic, so surreal that, when we entered in the stage, one looked at the other and we couldn’t believe it! It is not every day that you sing to a stadium with 70,000 people. Billy Majestic will handle the writing side of the movie, reports Variety.

DREAM THEN Formed in 1998 and signed to Bad Boy Records, their debut album It Was All a Dream came out in 2001. They’re single “He Loves U Not” reached #2 on the Hot 100 Singles chart. In 2003, they got a sexier image and a single called “Crazy,” but their second album’s release date kept being pushed back. They were eventually dropped from Bad Boy and broke up. NOW Three of the original four members (Melissa Schuman, Ashley Poole and Diana Ortiz) have formed a band called Lady Phoenix and are hoping to release a new album. They’re also hoping to re-form Dream with new

Three of the four members (Lil’ Fizz, Raz-B and J-Boog) claimed “financial mishandling” by their producer Chris Stokes. Omarion and Chris Stokes denied the allegations. THEN Formed in 1998 with members Ali Navarro, Stacey Harper, Amy Sue Hardy and Sarah Smith. They recorded a cover of “Let’s Get Together” for the soundtrack to The Parent Trap and guest-starred on an episode of Boy Meets World. In 2000, they released their self-titled debut album. Soon after, Stacey and Amy Sue left the group for solo careers and were replaced by Jennie Kwan and Tai-Amber Hoo. They recorded songs for the soundtracks to 102 Dalmatians and The Princess Diaries, and a second album was scheduled for 2002, but was never released. The group then broke up. Ali Navarro NOW Sarah Smith (now working as Sarah Christine Smith) is acting. She was in an episode of The Suite Life of Zack and Cody in 2006 and an episode of Drake & Josh in 2007. Her IMDB says she’s in a movie called Stealing Second this year. Replacement member Jennie Kwan is still acting and singing. She was the voice of Suki in the Avatar: The Last Airbender animated show, and has done musical theater as Kim in Miss Saigon on Broadway and was Christmas Eve in the original Las Vegas production of Avenue Q. Amy Sue Hardy lives in Colorado Springs where she (apparently) still performs. I couldn’t find anything about any of the other members.

They went on tour with N’Sync in the US but soon pulled out due to exhaustion and returned to the UK to work on their second album. They released two other albums (Invincible in 1999, which became a worldwide hit, and Kingsize released in 2001) but after intense negotiations with their record label, they announced on September 27, 2001 that they were breaking up.

The sisters also still perform around the UK and Ireland under the name Ms. Lynch. Sinead managed a girl group called Minx until 2004 and as of 2008, hosted a makeover show for TV3 Ireland called Inside & Out. She married Mike Rahman in 2006 and gave birth to a daughter in 2008. In December 2008, Sinead said a reunion was not out of the question.

THEN English group that formed in 1999 with members Mark Barry, Christian Burns and Stephen McNally. Their debut single “Back Here” originally debuted in 1999 but had limited success. When their album, Sooner or Later, was released in 2000, the single was re-released and got to #5 in the UK and #13 in the US. They had a second album in 2002 titled Into Your Head that reached #25 on the Billboard 200, but ultimately didn’t do well and the group broke up in 2003. NOW There isn’t a lot of recent information on them. Christian has recently collaborated with artists like Tiesto and Benny Benassi, and is currently in a band called The Bleach Works, due to release an album sometime this year. in 2007, Stephen auditioned for the ITV show The X Factor and made it to the boot camp round, and is apparently in a new band called Harper Mak. Couldn’t find any information about Mark.

THEN M2M was a Norwegian pop duo formed in 1999 by childhood friends Marion Raven and Merit Larsen.Their first single “Don’t Say You Love Me” was released in 1999 on the soundtrack to Pokemon: The First Movie, which helped the song reach commercial success. Their debut album, Shades of Purple, was released in 2000, and later that year they toured with Hanson. Their first signle was followed up by “Mirror, Mirror”, “The Day You Went Away”, “Pretty Boy”, and “Everything You Do.” They also released several of their tracks in Mandarin, giving them a large fanbase in Asia. In 2002, they released a less pop-oriented followup album entitled The Big Room, with limited success worldwide, although it faired well in Norway, Asia and Australia. THEN SoulDecision was a Canadian group originally called Indecision that formed in 1993, made up of vocalists Trevor Guthrie and David Bowman and keyboardist Ken Lewko. Their debut No One Does It Better came out in 2000 with the single “Faded” reaching #1 on the Canadian charts and #22 in the US. The follow-up single, “Ooh, It’s Kinda Crazy” also reached #1 in Canada and #1 on TRL. They toured with Christina Aguilera on the Canadian and American legs of her tour after their initial success. Their follow-up, Shady Satin Drug, came out in 2004 and the singles “Cadillac Dress”, “Kiss the Walls” and “Hypnotize” received steady airplay in Canada, but overall, the album did not achieve a lot of commercial success. Shortly after, David left the group to form a new one called Seven Lies. SoulDecision continued without him and added guitarist James Reid, bassist Tino Zolfo and drummer Terepai Richmond to their line-up, but after a small tour in 2005, the group officially broke up.

Other album news Producers Ryan ‘Alias’ Tedder (One Republic) and Brian Kennedy Seals have spoken out about Rihanna’s forthcoming new album. They leaked some details to PEOPLE.com about song concepts and the type of tracks that Rihanna has so far recorded. Infact one of her producers claim that Rihanna is WRITING on this new album about “different situations in her life, just things that inspire her”… Brian Kennedy Seals reveals that they’ve already worked on three songs, including an up-tempo number and a ballad. Ryan Tedder says they’re not there on lyrics yet but states that “She’s someone who has something to say, so I will let her lead whatever she wants to say”. He compliments the singer stating that “She’s phenomenal. She’s confident and strong and doing what she does”. Also, production team Stargate — Tor Erik Hermansen and Mikkel S. Eriksen have also spoken to MTV about their contribution towards Rihanna’s new album: “We were just in the studio making some new records” they admit before adding that they cannot discuss song titles: “I don’t think we should talk about titles just yet. We don’t really know which songs are gonna make it, but it feels exciting”. I’m really hyped about this because we’re going to finally hear things from her perspective. I’m really pleased that she’s wanting to have more creative input with this album. Exciting stuff.

Aside from a brief dalliance playing Macro in Trailer for a Remake of Gore Vidal’s Caligula, Benicio Del Toro has been laying on the serious work ever since his snatchy time as Franky Four Fingers. But it looks like he’s finally lightening up the load again. While I wouldn’t say that the Moe gig in The Three Stooges is the best way to go about it, there’s another project cooking that could remind us of the glory days of Benicio and Johnny hallucinating their way through Vegas. In a talk with MTV, Bret Easton Ellis said that the gestating Lunar Park adaptation is in some state of pre-production and: “Oddly enough, Benicio Del Toro I think is going to do it.” Why oddly? “Benicio would actually be playing Bret Easton Ellis. It’s a strange bit of casting.” Indeed — it’s not every day that Del Toro gets to bite at an anglo role. Lunar Park is a mix between fact and fiction, taking nibbles from Ellis’ early fame (drug use, Glamorama book tours), and then morphing it into ghost story as he moves into a haunted house in a fictional New York City suburb. The AV Club called it a “quasi-plausible” “domestic horrorcomedy.” While the actor might be far from my first choice visually for Ellis, I can’t help but love the thought of him getting into the writer’s darkly comic world. Three of the four members (Lil’ Fizz, Raz-B and J-Boog) claimed “financial mishandling” by their producer Chris Stokes. Omarion and Chris Stokes denied the allegations. NOW Three members (Omarion, Lil’ Fizz and Raz) all tried to release solo work, and Omarion is the only one who really succeeded. His debut album O came out in 2005, and a follow-up 21 in 2006. He and Bow Wow released a duets album Face Off in 2007 that reached #11 on the Billboard Top 200. Lil’ Fiz’s debut Payday was supposed to be released in 2007, but has only been released in EP on iTunes. Raz had a single “Fire” in May 2007 that got to #11 on Billboard’s Hot Singles Sales chart.

They recorded a cover of “Let’s Get Together” for the soundtrack to The Parent Trap and guest-starred on an episode of Boy Meets World. In 2000, they released their self-titled debut album. Soon after, Stacey and Amy Sue left the group for solo careers and were replaced by Jennie Kwan and Tai-Amber Hoo. They recorded songs for the soundtracks to 102 Dalmatians and The Princess Diaries, and a second album was scheduled for 2002, but was never released. The group then broke up. Ali Navarro NOW Sarah Smith (now working as Sarah Christine Smith) is acting. She was in an episode of The Suite Life of Zack and Cody in 2006 and an episode of Drake & Josh in 2007. Her IMDB says she’s in a movie called Stealing Second this year. Replacement member Jennie Kwan is still acting and singing. She was the voice of Suki in the Avatar: The Last Airbender animated show, and has done musical theater as Kim in Miss Saigon on Broadway and was Christmas Eve in the original Las Vegas production of Avenue Q. Amy Sue Hardy lives in Colorado Springs where she (apparently) still performs. I couldn’t find anything about any of the other members.

They released their first single “Slam Dunk (Da Funk)” in November of that year and it debuted at #10 in the UK. They had their first international hit with “When the Lights Go Out” in 1998 which cracked the US top ten. They appeared in a Disney Channel concert special with girl group B*Witched (also on this list. Does anyone else completely remember watching that thing?) Their debut album 5ive reached #27 in the US and had success worldwide. Their second US single “It’s the Things You Do” had only a lukewarm reception. They went on tour with N’Sync in the US but soon pulled out due to exhaustion and returned to the UK to work on their second album. They released two other albums (Invincible in 1999, which became a worldwide hit, and Kingsize released in 2001) but after intense negotiations with their record label, they announced on September 27, 2001 that they were breaking up.

NOW In 2003, Richard “Abs” Breen released a solo album, Abstract Theory. Sean Conlon also signed a solo deal and began working on a debut album. Jason “J” Brown became a writer/producer and came in third in the 2007 edition of I’m A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! Ritchie Neville also attempted a solo career and has made occassional appearances as a TV guest star, presenter, actor and reality show contestant. Scott Robinson worked as a DJ for a few months in 2002 with EssexFM, starred in the UK regional theater production of Boogie Nights 2 in 2004 and 2005, and became a father for the second time in 2006. In 2006, it was announced that four of the original members (without Sean Conlon) would be reforming and releasing their fourth album. They began

Their debut single “C’est La Vie” came out in 1998 and reached #1 on the UK charts, as did subsequent singles “Rollercoaster”, “To You I Belong”, and “Blame It On the Weatherman”. Their self-titled debut album came out in October of 1998, going platinum in the US and double platinum in the UK. Their follow-up album, Awake and Breathe, came out in 1999 and reached #5, but did not sell as well as their debut. The group broke up in September of 2002 after plans for an eighth single failed.

NOW Lindsay joined the band Clayton in 2007, and married Lee Brennen from band 911 in January 2006. Edele found work as a songwriter, co-writing the songs “Some Kind of Miracle” for Girls Aloud and “Situations Heavy” for Sugababes. She married Michael Barrett in 2006 and had a daughter in 2007. Keavy formed a songwriting and production company with a partner and played the lead in a pantomime production of Snow White in December of 2005 in Nottingham. The sisters also still perform around the UK and Ireland under the name Ms. Lynch. Sinead managed a girl group called Minx until 2004 and as of 2008, hosted a makeover show for TV3 Ireland called Inside & Out. She married Mike Rahman in 2006 and gave birth to a daughter in 2008. In December 2008, Sinead said a reunion was not out of the question.

THEN English group that formed in 1999 with members Mark Barry, Christian Burns and Stephen McNally. Their debut single “Back Here” originally debuted in 1999 but had limited success. When their album, Sooner or Later, was released in 2000, the single was re-released and got to #5 in the UK and #13 in the US. They had a second album in 2002 titled Into Your Head that reached #25 on the Billboard 200, but ultimately didn’t do well and the group broke up in 2003. NOW There isn’t a lot of recent information on them. Christian has recently collaborated with artists like Tiesto and Benny Benassi, and is currently in a band called The Bleach Works, due to release an album sometime this year. in 2007, Stephen auditioned for the ITV show The X Factor and made it to the boot camp round, and is apparently in a new band called Harper Mak. Couldn’t find any information about Mark.

THEN M2M was a Norwegian pop duo formed in 1999 by childhood friends Marion Raven and Merit Larsen.Their first single “Don’t Say You Love Me” was released in 1999 on the soundtrack to Pokemon: The First Movie, which helped the song reach commercial success. Their debut album, Shades of Purple, was released in 2000, and later that year they toured with Hanson. Their first signle was followed up by “Mirror, Mirror”, “The Day You Went Away”, “Pretty Boy”, and “Everything You Do.” They also released several of their tracks in Mandarin, giving them a large fanbase in Asia. In 2002, they released a less pop-oriented followup album entitled The Big Room, with limited success worldwide, although it faired well in Norway, Asia and Australia. While on tour with Jewel in 2002, they were dropped from Atlantic Records, and broke up later that year. Christian Burns
NOW They have both continued working as solo artists. Marit released her first solo album, Under the Surface, in 2006 and a follow-up, The Chase, in Norway in 2008. Marion released her debut, Here I Am, in 2005, and two follow-ups: Heads Will Roll in 2006 and Set Me Free in 2007.

THEN SoulDecision was a Canadian group originally called Indecision that formed in 1993, made up of vocalists Trevor Guthrie and David Bowman and keyboardist Ken Lewko. Their debut No One Does It Better came out in 2000 with the single “Faded” reaching #1 on the Canadian charts and #22 in the US. The follow-up single, “Ooh, It’s Kinda Crazy” also reached #1 in Canada and #1 on TRL. They toured with Christina Aguilera on the Canadian and American legs of her tour after their initial success. Their follow-up, Shady Satin Drug, came out in 2004 and the singles “Cadillac Dress”, “Kiss the Walls” and “Hypnotize” received steady airplay in Canada, but overall, the album did not achieve a lot of commercial success. Shortly after, David left the group to form a new one called Seven Lies. SoulDecision continued without him and added guitarist James Reid, bassist Tino Zolfo and drummer Terepai Richmond to their line-up, but after a small tour in 2005, the group officially broke up.

First she spoke with San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom, as he gears up his run for governor. And then she started gushing, in a way usually reserved for 15-year-old girls, about one of her favorite bands growing up: San Jose-based Metallica.

Giving fellow celeb tots Suri and Shiloh a run for their money in Hollywood’s cutest kid competition, late contender Harlow Madden was showing off what she’s got while lunching with mom Nicole Richie at Café Med in the Sunset Plaza of Los Angeles today (April 28). While it’s the various antipasto that get rave reviews at the celeb-friendly eatery, 15-month-old Harlow appeared to have found her afternoon snack in her sleeve. So where’s family patriarch Joel Madden? Likely still huffing and puffing after British Airways officials refused to allow him to board a flight unless he covered up his tattoos. The Good Charlotte rocker was preparing to fly from Chicago to London to film a new music video when it all went down. Taking his frustrations to Twitter, Joel tweeted: “Was just told by a british air person I can’t get on the plane till I cover my tatts. Should I fight the power? I really actually am in shock, he won’t let me on the plane till I put long sleeves on and another BA rep is disagreeing.” He later acknowledged he had given in to the demands but said he planned to complain to company bosses over his treatment. He’s crying discrimination. For her part, Nicole tweets: “That’s the craziest story I’ve ever heard. It’s sad there is still such discrimination in this world. We’re hearing that Chris Brown is close to striking a plea deal. Brown is facing two felony charges for allegedly beating his then girlfriend and singer Rihanna on February 8. A new court hearing is scheduled for tomorrow (Wednesday) when the parties will set a date for Brown’s preliminary hearing. He’s charged with assault likely to cause great bodily injury and making criminal threats. Other album news Producers Ryan ‘Alias’ Tedder (One Republic) and Brian Kennedy Seals have spoken out about Rihanna’s forthcoming new album. They leaked some details to PEOPLE.com about song concepts and the type of tracks that Rihanna has so far recorded. Infact one of her producers claim that Rihanna is WRITING on this new album about “different situations in her life, just things that inspire her”… Brian Kennedy Seals reveals that they’ve already worked on three songs, including an up-tempo number and a ballad. Ryan Tedder says they’re not there on lyrics yet but states that “She’s someone who has something to say, so I will let her lead whatever she wants to say”. He compliments the singer stating that “She’s phenomenal. She’s confident and strong and doing what she does”. Also, production team Stargate — Tor Erik Hermansen and Mikkel S. Eriksen have also spoken to MTV about their contribution towards Rihanna’s new album: “We were just in the studio making some new records” they admit before adding that they cannot discuss song titles: “I don’t think we should talk about titles just yet. We don’t really know which songs are gonna make it, but it feels exciting”. I’m really hyped about this because we’re going to finally hear things from her perspective. I’m really pleased that she’s wanting to have more creative input with this album. Exciting stuff.
