Joe Connolly

Bill Connolly

Champion NH Trainer Willie Mullins enjoyed a superb Punchestown festival with 12 winners and retained his title for the fourth time as Champion NH Trainer. Connolly’s RED MILLS congratulates W.P. Mullins on his fantastic season, which includes a record number of winners in the Punchestown festival. Along with this success, he also enjoyed a great Cheltenham festival this year with 3 winners. We also take this opportunity to congratulate Willie’s son, Patrick, for retaining his Champion Qualified Rider title with 50 wins. Through this achievement Patrick surpassed Ted Walsh’s record for the most winners in a season for an amateur jockey.

PET ADVICE EVENING Connolly’s RED MILLS and the Arboretum Garden and Lifestyle Centre, Leighlinbridge, came together to provide a great evening for dog lovers. Our own Ronan Cullen offered top advice on dog nutrition and suggested ways in which to improve a dogs health through their diet. This was followed by top Dog Behaviouralist Julie Holmes, Tag ‘n’ Rye, demonstrating some impressive tips on training your dog. She brought her four month old border collie, Raichak, along. The 100 strong crowd definitely enjoyed themselves posing endless questions, which were met with answers from the Connolly’s RED MILLS staff. Julie was inundated with stories of problem dogs and she offered excellent advice to help resolve these situations. You can visit Julie’s website www.tagnrye.ie for some useful tips on training your dog, or to set up a meeting with her.
