Zero conditional: Present simple IF Present simple -

We use this for things which are generally true

Ex. Customers get annoyed if they have to wait. = Clienții sunt nemulțumiți dacă trebuie să aștepte. First conditional: Future simple IF Present simple -

We use this to talk about possible situations

Ex. I`ll use my umbrella if it rains. = Eu îmi voi folosi umbrela dacă va ploua. ! UNLESS = if not -

We use it with zero and first conditionals

Ex. Unless I phone you tomorrow, you`ll start at nine o`clock. (If I don`t phone you tomorrow, you`ll start at nine o`clock. = Dacă nu te sunt mâine, vei porni la ora nouă.) Second conditional: Would+infinitive IF Past simple -

We use this for imaginary situations, which we believe are nearly or completely impossible

Ex. I would go to more concerts if I had the time. = Eu m-aș duce la mai multe concerte dacă aș avea timp. Third conditional: Would have+3rd form IF Past perfect -

We use this for imaginary situations that are contrary to facts in the past

Ex. I wouldn`t have been late for work if I had had a car. = Eu nu aș fi întârziat la lucru dacă aș fi avut o mașină.
