Sports in the Colonies By Jacob Green Fredrick Harrison from Virginia Played Thomas Morgan of the Colonial Militia in a Billiard game on the thirteenth of December. Thomas Morgan sunk the first three shots into the right corner pocket. Following was a miss by Fredrick. Thomas hit all of his striped balls in and shot for the 8 ball, but he missed. Fredrick finally hit the top of his game and hit all but his number six ball into the pockets. The crowds grew silent as Fredrick shoots. Fredrick misses the shot and it is Thomas’s turn. Thomas strikes the eight ball right on and just misses the left center pocket landing the eight ball next to Fredrick’s number six ball. Fredrick mistakenly hit the eight ball in first, which led to his loss. A rematch is scheduled for 33 of January. Come see this eventful game.
