DESCRIPTION Colonial LAO is a mixture of Lanolin Alcohols in a mineral oil base. This product is a mixture of Lanolin derived Sterols and complex Fatty Alcohols in a mineral oil medium. As such, it is an odorless, low viscosity, non-tacky liquid.

APPLICATIONS Cosmetics/pharmaceuticals Colonial LAO is a non-ionic which can be used as a primary water-in-oil emulsifier. It is also useful as a secondary oil in water emulsion stabilizer. Colonial LAO exhibits very active penetration and emollient properties. Because of its high percentage of water absorption, Colonial LAO is extremely valuable as a moisturizer and humectant in all topical cosmetic applications, useful in creams, lotions, lip care and ointment base products.
