Cola®Trope OS INCI/CFTA: Sodium Alkane Sulfonate

DESCRIPTION Cola®Trope OS is a high quality, light colored, aqueous solution of primary alkane sulfonate. Cola®Trope OS is a low foaming, biodegradable anionic surfactant with excellent hydrotroping properties. Cola®Trope OS provides good wetting and hydrotropic properties as well as stability over a wide pH range. Cola®Trope OS offers versatility in formulating industrial and institutional cleaners due to its excellent solubility in highly acidic and alkaline systems as well as good compatibility with good detergent builders and bleach.

SAFETY AND HANDLING Cola®Trope OS is practically non-toxic orally (LD50> 5 g/kg) and it causes moderate skin and eye irritation at 31% active. Handle Cola®Trope OS with care; use away from sparks and open flame. Use in wellventilated area. Contact with eyes, nose or prolonged skin contact should be avoided. PACKAGING Cola®Trope OS is available in bulk and in 55-gallon drums (net weight: 450 lb, 205 kg). It is recommended that Cola®Trope OS be stored in sealed containers and kept in a cool, dry place. If material is frozen it should be heated gently and stirred to ensure it is homogeneous before use. Cola®Trope OS that has been stored cold may develop a haze. This is normal and does not affect its performance.
