Colacor 450

Cola®Cor 450 DESCRIPTION Cola®Cor 450 is a water-soluble corrosion inhibitor designed for use in various metalworking, detergent and aerosol applications. Aqueous solutions are very low foaming and will provide effective corrosion protection at recommended use concentrations. The performance properties of Cola®Cor 450 are not affected by water hardness, and aqueous films dry down to non-tacky residues. Cola®Cor 450 demonstrates more potent corrosion inhibiting properties than traditionally used carboxylic types. Cola®Cor 450 is currently being used successfully in low foam, alkaline spray washes for rust protection, as well as, for improved wetting/rinsibility at 0.3% 0.5% active.

Cast Iron Chip Rust Test Cola®Cor 450 passed at a concentration of 2.0% in deionized and 170ppm water hardness. Cast Iron Block Test Cola®Cor 450 passes this test at a concentration of 0.25% in deionized and 170 ppm hardness water thus demonstrating superior rust protection. Competitors A, B, and C, needed a concentration of 2.0% under the same conditions to approach the performance of Cola®Cor 450. The closest competitive performer tested needed 1.0% concentration to fulfill the same function.
