Reunion Information

Friday, September 25, 2009 Tailgate Party! We will be using Jacque Blackman’s office parking lot for a pre-game tailgate party. There will be music, cornhole game, and a grill to use. We will have plates, utensils, condiments available. If you would like to bring a dish to share, or even a bag of chips that would be great. Please plan to bring your own meat, main dish etc. There are options available nearby for grab and go foods also.

Where: 101 S. 2nd St. Grimes, IA

School sponsored Homecoming activities:

When: 4-7pm

2:30pm – Coronation and Community Rally at the Sports Complex in Grimes.

What to Bring: Bring food and beverages of your choice, lawn chairs etc. Drop by anytime before the game. We will pack up and head to the game around 7pm. After Game Party: Fat Boyz Saloon - Grimes (Located in the strip mall near McDonalds)

Saturday, September 26, 2009 Saturday:

Saturday Evening:

We are arranging a tour of the new high school in Grimes.

Dinner will be held at the Smokehouse restaurant in Dallas Center. It will be buffet style and we will have our own room in the restaurant for our group.

Time: 1:00 – Meet at the school front doors on the south side of the building. Following the tour, there will be a group that will be visiting the gravesites of Scott Main, Wayne Good and Brad Randall.

Cost: Price of buffet + any beverages consumed. Full bar available. Prepayment is not necessary; however please let us know if you and guests are attending so we can give an approximate headcount to the restaurant for planning.

4:45pm – Freshman Football Kickoff vs. Carroll 7:15pm – Recognition of Homecoming Court 7:30pm – Varsity Football Kickoff vs. Carroll (GO MUSTANGS!)

A note from the reunion committee: We really hope you consider attending one or more of the scheduled activities. We have made efforts to locate former classmates, but have not been able to find everyone. Please check in and help spread the word. If you are not able to attend, please consider joining Facebook as there is an active group of alumni on there, and it has been a great way to catch up with old friends. Hope to “see” you soon!
