Annelida (true worms)

Arthropoda

Wormlike creatures that are segmented. Ex.: Earthworms, leeches

Invertebrates, with segmented bodies and jointed legs in pairs. Ex.: Insects, spiders

Chordata

Echinodermata

Vertebrates. Ex.: Humans, birds, fish, reptiles

Symmetrical marine invertebrates that have a water vascular system. Ex.: Starfish, sea urchins, sea cucumbers.

Mollusca

Nematoda (roundworms)

Invertebrate marine animals that have soft bodies, usually with shells. Ex.: Octopi, clams, snails.

Unsegmented, cylindrical bodies. Ex.: Hookworms, pinworms.

Cnidaria

Porifera

Invertebrates; simple tissues with a mouth surrounded by tentacles; have stinging cells. Ex.: Jellyfish, corals.

Simplest of all animals; have no tissue or organs. Ex.: Sponges.
