Many people commute to Penticton each day. As it is our neighboring city, we are very connected in our communities. A common transit system would benefit both communities as well as the environment. Project Goals -Bring attention to the need for a public transit system in our area -Have a public transit system implemented between Summerland and Penticton -Reduce greenhouse gas emissions Action Plan 1-Research the history of the problem 2-Start a petition in our school (With comments on why it is necessary) 3-Bring our goals to the attention of the town council 4-Write letters to Summerland officials 5-Gain the attention of the media 6-Contact and make a presentation to the transportation minister for Summerland (or Okanagan) Oral Presentation for Civic Action Fair -present need for transport system -
