After the launch my role developed into a more senior role for the London office, in which I would have responsibility for how the direction of weekly graphics could be as effective as possible. In other more long term projects I would have a big part in the ongoing branding of the channel, including new shows and promotions. Running/Camera assistant for “Doctors’ directors” course. This two-week course, set up to allow new comers an insight into the industry, gave me the chance to extend my knowledge of filming. My duties ranged from setting up the camera equipment at the beginning of every shoot, reading out takes to the camera with clapper board, assisting the director of photography and getting tapes to editing after each shoot. I came away with a clearer understanding of what I needed to learn in order to follow up this experience.
