CHOLESTEROL  Cholesterol in our body used for many hormones preparation.  Cholesterol when increases or decreases in blood from normal range can cause disease.  The normal range of total cholesterol in blood is 150-230mg%.  Cholesterol has various types like High density lipoproteins HDL,

LDL,

Very

low

density

lipoproteins VLDL, Triglycerides TG.  Here it is important to remember that HDL is good cholesterol in our body.  HDL increases with exercise, walking, climbing etc.  HDL transports other types of cholesterol and do not allow the to stick on the inner wall of arteries.  TG is dangerous and will increases due to alcoholism and cigarette smoking.  The normal range for TG is 75-175 mg%.  VLDL is always five times lower than TG.
