The Apple Chinese Language Kit con- tains everything you need to easily include Chinese text in your letters, presentations, and reports. Whether you’re a desktop publisher or business professional, you can use this Language Kit to develop Chinese-language materials such as brochures, posters, business cards, and presentations. Students and teachers can use it to run interactive Chinese-language programs and produce compelling papers in Chinese. Although the Chinese Language Kit does not trans-late text, it does let you easily input, edit, and print in Chinese. Many major software programs, such as WordPerfect and Nisus, take advantage of WorldScript, Apple’s new software technology. These programs allow you to input, edit,
and format Chinese text right along side other languages in your document. The Chinese Language Kit also allows you to run applications that have been localized for Chinese speaking countries. The Chinese Language Kit contains Simplified and Traditional characters, as well as a wide choice of input methods. The Kit also comes with TrueType fonts, which produce high-quality output from any Macintosh-compatible printer. Documentation is provided in both Chinese and English, making the Language Kit easy to use whether you’re a native speaker or just learning Chinese. Because the Language Kit works as an extension to System 7.1 and uses the operating system you already have, there is no need to store an additional system on your hard disk. All you need is the Chinese Language Kit, System 7.1, and a compatible application.
