THE CHARACTER OF A PERSON -------------------------------------------------
The character of a person is a relative perception and Einsten's theory of relativity is perfectly applicable to it .This is because the perceptions of the character of a person changes with the change of place, time & the evaluator and depends upon the relative scores awarded to each crieteria by the evaluating person . There have always been different character evaluating parameters in different countries . Further the stress points in valuation scores differ in different segments of society even in the same very country . Moreover the very position held by the person to be evaluated for his character also matters a lot . Thus the score result of the character of the same very person under evaluation will be different in different situations , places & times with different evaluatig persons . Take for example one happens to evaluate the characters of American president Mr.Bill Clinton after Lwinsky episode in U.S.A. and an ordinary person in India . Most probably the scores concluded, applying the above stated variables , will be as given below:Few score criteria Mr.Bil Clinton U.S.A. Ordinary person INDIA ---------------------------------------------------------------------------1. Truthfulness 5 1 ( Politition =0 ) 2. Honesty 8 1 3. Believer in God 4 9 4. Keeping word 8 2 5. Trustworthy 9 0 6. Sex with married 1 9 partner only 7. Hard working 9 4 ( Flatterers overtake ) 8. Dutiful 10 2 ( Flatteres =10 ) 9. Punctual 9 1 ( Late coming enhances VIP ) 10. Richness in money 10 ( Universal ) 10 11.Education (Degrees) 8 9 12.Physical beauty 5 8 ( Personal secretary =10 ) ! 13Sociability 1 6 14.Modernity 9 2 15.Patriotism 9 1 ---------------------Total 105 65 ---------------------Finally to arrive at the net score of the character of a person one will definitely keep some margins to be deducted for the socially recognised as negative crteria in respective societies i.e gambling , drinking , prostitution , corruption etc.etc. in a similar manner. So we should not be surprised if inspite of Monica Lewinsky affair Mr.Bill Clinton comes out as more characterworthy than an Indian person placed in similar situation . Rather one is surprised that his wife is publicly hailing him for the rest of his abilities ignoring his surfaced weakness , has kept her cool & saved the marriage . Moreover more than half the American population is not in favour of his impeachment from president ship simply on account of Lewinsky affair . On the other hand , in India the president would have been considered as the most characterless person putting indefinite stress on item no.6.( Universally acclaimed one amongst the human weaknesses ) dumping all other criteria of evaluation of the character of a person .Keeping this in view the above evaluating person must be rewarded for his liberalism having awarded the Indian 65 score points ! Further the person(Indian) must have been either thrashed with broom in public by his wife or dragged in the court to teach him a lesson !
Thus it finally stands proved from the above example that no two evaluating persons would ever arrive at the same score the world over & hence the character of a person is variable w.r.t. place , time , status & the stress perceptions of the evaluating person. Sept. 16 , 1998. Mumbai , India .
