Central and South Asia web quest I think religion is plagued by conflict because everyone has his or her own opinion, and nobody wants to admit the other person is right. The countries that define the religion are South West Asia, North East Africa, Afghanistan, Pakistan, India, Cyprus, Syria, Lebanon, Israel, the West Bank and Gaza, Jordan, Iraq, Iran, and the Asian part of Turkey. There is tension between Israel and Arab because of political, strategic, and economic interests. The largest supplier of weaponry in Iraq was Syria and Libya. Iraqi’s president’s name is Hussein. He was accused of supporting terrorism. The Iraqi president was captured in 2003 and he was convicted in 2004. The sea between Saudi Arabia and Egypt is the Red Sea. The sea north of turkey is the Black Sea. The sea north of Iran is the Caspian Sea. The sea west of Israel is the Mediterranean Sea. The sea south of Oman is the Arabian Sea. It is approximately 60 miles from Jerusalem to Nazareth. It is approximately 60 miles from Jerusalem to Egypt. The major international dispute in Israel is if whether or not they own the West Bank and the Gaza Strip. The symbol in the middle of their flag represents the Star of David. There is tension between Israel and Palestinians because they fight over who owns the West Bank and the Gaza Strip. The Red Sea is 1385ft below sea level. The countries that are neighboring Saudi Arabia are, Iraq, Jordan, U.A.E., Oman, and Yemen. Duba is approximately 150 miles from Egypt. Saudi Arabia follows the legal system is based on the sharia, an Islamic law. Taliban is a radical Sunni Islamist movement. The countries that border Kuwait are Saudi Arabia and Iraq. By looking at the map I would say Kuwait’s economic strength is very small, because Kuwait is small. The official languages spoke there are Arabic and English.
