Parkinson’s disease Alzheimer’s disease Heart diseases Strokes Diabetes type 1 Spinal cord injuries Replace or repair damaged organs Some forms of cancer

Reduce the risk of transplantation Ability to test potential drugs/medicine without testing on animals or humans Could lead to the prevention/treatment of abnormal human development

CONS  



Embryo Research vs. Pro-Life Politics  If

life begins during conception, then using embryonic cells would mean killing a life



Fear that it will lead to cloning  “Unethical”  “Humans shouldn’t be trying to play God” 





If you had a child who was suffering from cancer and their only chance of survival would be a perfect genetic match, would you support in vitro fertilization to produce another child to become their donor?
