RJ45 Connector: It stands for registered Jack 45. Every RJ45 connector has 8 pins as shown below:

UTP Cable: UTP stand for Unshielded Twisted pair. These cables are using in LAN and also in Telephone systems. The maximum cable length segment is 100 meters, about 328 feet. It has five categories. Each one has its own specification. These divided into categories on they basis of the Traffic that they can carry. Following are the basic categories of UTP cable: 1) 2) 3) 4) 5)

Category 1: This type of UTP can carry voice but not data transmissions. Category 2: This category UTP cable is using for data transmissions up to 4 Mbps. Category 3: This category UTP cable is using for data transmissions up to 16 Mbps. Category 4: This category UTP cable is using for data transmissions up to 20 Mbps. Category 5: This category UTP cable is using for data transmissions up to 100 Mbps.

Two Types Networking Cable: There are two types of cables that are using for connections between hardware. 1) Straight Through Cable: It is using for deferent types of hardware e.g. PC to Switch connection

2) Cross Over Cable: It is using for the connection between same types of hardware e.g. PC to PC connection.
