Vision- To be recognised as a leading non-profit organization in delivering welfare services to the Cambodian community in Victoria. Objectives- To provide welfare service to the disadvantaged members of the Cambodian community in Victoria. ^ To promote good relationships between Cambodian, Australian and Australians of other ethnic origins > To improve greater opportunities of access for Cambodian vis-a-vis resources and services provided by government and non-government agencies. > To foster and promote Cambodian cultural heritage and traditions in Australia

Our services Accommodation

Consumer Affairs: Provide referral for consumer rights and assistance with the purchasing of a house, car and other consumer goods, insurance and car accident claim, and representation.

Counselling: Personal, Education and family problems. Provide advice and referral to appropriate services. Support spiritual and religious needs of elderly Cambodians.

Education: Encourage young Cambodian Generation to study Khmer language classes at primary and secondary levels at Springvale Khmer Education Centre every Saturday from 9:00amto 12:00pm. Secondary tutorial support program. Adult English Classes for disadvantage group.

Application for rental accommodation and home finance. Provide tenant information, advice and referral service. Support tenants involved in tenancy dispute

Employment:

Cambodian Radio Program (3ZZZ) Enhance Cambodian community access to information and entertainment through the operation of the Khmer Language Program at Radio 3ZZZ on Ethnic Public, Radio 92.3FM.

Increases awareness of training, education and labour market programs to unemployed clients. Assist young long term unemployed Cambodian youth to be ready through enhancement of job hunting skills, letter writing and interviewing techniques.

Provide referral and liaison between the unemployed and employers, Centrelink and other training providers.

Finance: Referral assistance on financial matters. All forms Centrelink for income maintenance

Fine Arts: Run Cambodian folk and classical dance classes as a means of maintaining cultural heritage and sharing this with the Australian Community. Health: Provide ethno specific advice to professionals of the Springvale Community Healthy Centre and other health service provider. Organise information session for the benefit of Cambodian elderly, youth and women. Maximise the use of the Springvale Community Health Centre's services by Cambodians

Immigration & Community Settlement Services: Provide settlement services to new arrival and disadvantage group. Others: Assist with letters to various authorities on all other matter of advocacy. Make telephone calls on behalf of clients. Refer clients regarding legal, family and financial matters. Provide a link between the Cambodian Community and other networks and services.
