/ + (that) + S + V(lùi thì) + …… + Nếu câu trực tiếp là câu mệnh lệnh: S + told sb / asked sb / … / + (not) + to V + ….. (lùi thì) + Nếu câu trực tiếp là câu nghi vấn: S + told sb / asked / asked sb / … / + If + S + V(lùi thì) + …. + Nếu câu trực tiếp là câu hỏi có từ để hỏi: S + told sb / asked / asked sb / … / + (từ để hỏi) + S + V(lùi thì) + …
Chú ý: - Khi V là V giới thiệu (tell, say, ask …) được chia ở HTĐ hoặc HTHT thì không lùi thì. Ở QKĐ thì phải lùi thì. - Quy tắc lùi thì: HTĐ QKĐ QKĐ QKHT HTHTTD QKHTTD
