Holy Father’s Intentions for July General: That the Christians of the Middle East may live their faith in full freedom and be an instrument of peace and reconciliation. Mission: That the Church may be the seed and nucleus of a humanity reconciled and reunited in God’s one and only family, thanks to the testimony of all the faithful in every country in the world.

NEW CONFESSIONAL PROJECT - HYTHE Work due to commence week beginning 27th July 2009 (subject to confirmation). While the work is in progress Mass will be as usual, but there will not be Morning Prayer, Rosary, or Adoration.

PARISH SAFEGUARDING Parish Safeguarding Rep. David Spinks has been tasked by Fr Fred to ensure we meet new legal requirements for vetting of certain parish personnel before the new law comes into force in October. The quarterly magazine of Safe Hands from the Little Sisters of the Poor is also available. *** FOR YOUR DIARY *** Next week’s Diocesan second collection ‘Day for Life 2009’ focuses on Suicide. It aims to highlight the Church’s teaching on the importance of life, and point towards support that professional services can bring. This collection can be gift aided. For more information please see leaflets at the back of the church and take an envelope. Hiroshima & Nagasaki Remembrance Service at Aylesford Priory Thursday 6th August at 8.20pm for one hour. See notice at rear of church. Next DJM meeting not until 15th September 2009 at 7pm in the Fr Daly Hall VISIT OF THE RELICS OF ST THERESE There is a proposed pilgrimage to Aylesford Priory on Saturday 10th October. Mass at 11.30am with the blessing of Roses and Prayer for Healing and Reconciliation at 4.30pm. It would be helpful if you could sign the form at the back of the church if you intend to come so that we can work out costs and hire a coach.
