HOLY FAMILY CATHEDRAL SCHOOL

February 2008 Dear Parents and Friends of Holy Family Cathedral School: As rector of Holy Family Cathedral parish, it is my pleasure to welcome you to the 23rd annual Holy Family Cathedral School silent and live auction with its theme this year, "Some Enchanted Evening" A Masquerade Ball! It means so much that you’re here to share an evening like this with friends and family from the parish and school. I am grateful to all who have worked so hard over the years in helping to make this event one of the most successful fundraisers for the cathedral school. Special thanks, of course, to this year’s team of generous volunteers who have done such a great job.

Dear Parents and Friends of Holy Family Cathedral School, tonight’s celebration, “Some Enchanted Evening” A Masquerade Ball, has all the makings of a grand evening! We have a beautiful venue, fabulous auction items and wonderful company. The students of Holy Family Cathedral School will be the beneficiaries of this evening’s success. Tonight your generosity will support the vision of Holy Family Cathedral School. For many months parents and friends have been hard at work preparing for this spectacular night! I would like to express my deepest appreciation for their dedication and spirit. We extend our gratitude also to the many individuals and businesses that have donated an array of items and services for this evening’s gala. Please show your appreciation to our donors by supporting them throughout the year. May community be at the heart of our celebration tonight! May it be filled with much fun, laughter and generous bidding!!! May God Bless You All. Margaret Harlow Principal

Once again this year, the dinner-auction is a chance to socialize with good friends, and to raise needed funds for the school at the same time. I hope to have the chance to meet you all, and to get to know you better. It’s my fourth school auction with you as your rector, and I know that it will be a great success!

Dear Parents and Friends, Welcome to our 23rd Annual Auction…“Some Enchanted Evening” A Masquerade Ball. This evening is an opportunity to celebrate your support of Holy Family Cathedral School. We are so appreciative of all those whose vision, dedication and commitment enable us to continue the tradition of Catholic Education. Your children are our future leaders and it is our primary goal to empower them with knowledge and provide them with the finest education.

The ministry of the cathedral school is an essential part of our parish life, and it is my privilege to be a part of it with you. The learning that goes on each day at Holy Family Cathedral School provides the foundation and the values for the future of the young people entrusted to our care. If you’re here tonight for the first time, or if you’ve been a part of these auctions for many years, you are in for a treat! Have a great time, and thank you for supporting Catholic education here at Holy Family.

Sincerely, Very Rev. Donald A. Romito Rector

The auction chairs and their committees have worked tirelessly to make this annual event a successful, memorable occasion. We are blessed with an enthusiastic, dependable and energetic group of parents. The proceeds from this event contribute to enhancing the learning environment for your children. They are the beneficiaries of your generosity. Thank you for all that you have done for our school. Have a wonderful evening. May God Bless You All. Marie Ubl Vice Principal

A special Thank You to our supporting businesses for making tonight a success.

Cheap Date is often referred to as the “Jack FM” of bands. They’d like to think of themselves more as the “Indie 103.1” of bands but let’s be real, if they played Indie stuff, none of their fans would know what the heck they were singing. Their repertoire spans nearly every musical style, from blues to country to alternative and, in a special category all by himself, Don Ho. But that isn’t why they are likened to “Jack”. THAT association has everything to do with the fact that they never play requests. It’s not that they don’t ask for the them, they just never actually take them. In fact, they seem to know every song in the world except for those requested by fans. Comprised of seven Holy Family alumni...and Brian, who is currently cruising along in his seventh year of 8th grade there, they have been playing the private and public circuit for over 25 years. They invite you to check out their web site www.loafstuff. com as well as their CD project “Damascus” (located throught the web site.
