AGAINST WSF

The WSF Charter With the slogan 'Another World is possible', the WSF claims to provide a forum for all the forces opposed to Globalization. Even a glance at the WSF Charter would reveal the fact that it is not a front against Imperialism, but a forum that institutionalizes the anti-imperialist forces through devious methods.
WSF and the NGOs (Civil Society Organisations) WSF is not a new formation altogether. It's only a reincarnation of voluntary organizations (now called NGOs or Civil Society Organizations) begot by the imperialists 40 years ago. The mission of NGOs is to divide the people on the line of identities, promote careerism, Economism and Apoliticism amongst the masses, while indulging in radical phrase mongering. 70% of the World Bank aided projects are routed through NGOs, and they serve as the power centers of Imperialists, studded in the grass root to monitor the project of Recolonisation.

WSF and Debates While the strings as well as the hands that pull the puppet (i.e. WSF) are clearly visible and sufficiently exposed, Radically sounding slogans like "Abolish World Bank and IMF", "Scrap WTO" etc. are mere sounds and they do not bear any practical significance.
What kind of ‘Space’? All 'spaces' that hitherto existed between the Bourgeois and the Proletariat, between Imperialism and oppressed Nations are gone. WSF promises another possible world within the Imperialist Global system and cajoles people to embark on a futile search for 'space'.
Reflective “imperialist” Thinking The major constituents of the WSF, i.e., -- the NGOs, Anarchists, Trotskyites, Pseudo Communists and PostModernists of various hues etc., -- are the strategic weapons in the armoury of Imperialism to be used against Communism. These forces are ideologically united in their crusade.

Call for a crusade They cry hoarse against Globalization, when they are out of power; in power they behave as servile slaves of the World Bank and IMF and implement their diktats. From Lula of Brazil to Buddhadeb of India, they hav e proved this in practice. Red is their banner, but it is soaked and drenched in bourgeois politics. The active role of CPI, CPI (M) and other pseudo communists and the presence of Anarchists, and Trotskyites lend the much needed credibility to the WSF. Thus an imperialist Trojan horse is portrayed as a red coalition!
WS(W)F: Who's fighting who? The gulf of inequality between Classes and Nations is fast widening. Unable to project any credible political or ideological alternative, the imperialists are scared at the possibility of communism gaining influence as the alternative. Hence, the time-tested tactics of promoting social democrats, anarchists, Trotskyites and pseudo-communists is on the play now. The vanguard role of PT in the WSF and the activ e role of CPI, CPI (M), CPI M-L (Liberation) in India are part of this conspiracy; a conspiracy to gain credibility by portraying a bourgeois formation as a red coalition. Or 'left pluralism' in the now infamous NGO-discourses! A classic case of waving red flag against the red flag!
WSF-The Don The 'practice' of WSF is confined to debates; endless debates and empty sloganeering to dissipate the anger of the people ravaged by Imperialism! By dissipating people's movements and dampening revolutionary forces, the WSF is attempting to manufacture consent for the implementation of Globalization from below.

Space All 'spaces' that hitherto existed between the Bourgeois and the Proletariat, between Imperialism and oppressed Nations are gone. All the shock absorbers are removed and Socialism is pulled into the arena to confront imperialism face to face. But the WSF persuades the forces yearning for Socialism to choose the path of conciliation. It promises another possible world within the Imperialist Global system
What kind of an Alternative do we need? The People who dare to reclaim their rights are thrown into jail, or thrown dead The nations that have the audacity to stand up against Imperialism are bulldozed into submission through sanctions and war. Hence, an alternative that does not demand the destruction of Imperialism, or stops short of overturning down the capitalist social system, betrays itself to be hollow. The cry for a solution to this crisis is destined to be a cry for Socialism and Communism.
Deconstructing WSF with its slogan "Another world is possible", the WSF has succeeded in projecting itself to be the centre of Anti-Globalization movements. The pomp and glitter created by its huge money power, the participation of intellectual celebrities and the international dignitaries along with wellexecuted media hype, naturally draws the attention of the masses. In the coming days media will blare the loud 'anti-imperialist' proclamations of the WSF speakers, leading people to believe WSF to be a congregation of anti-imperialist forces. Is it true?
