Candlesticks Candlesticks burn in my eyes the melting glow of lost good-byes the flame that flickered touched my skin as scalded fingers shut me in the hot wax drips as falling tears my face is melting all the years and in the dark that’s standing there the wind stares back a deathly glare it glows as brightly as the flame that colors me calls out my name the candlestick is growing small as drops of wax so quickly fall and before the dawn can catch the night obscurity blows out the light
