technological creators to submit their work for consideration in the 2008 rdEVOLUTION exhibit event, Equilibrium: The Human Mash Up. Submitted work may include any visual art and/or technology that addresses human survival in an era of interspecies evolution, revolution, and devolution.

Submissions will fall into one of four conceptual areas:

Momentum captures the inertia and velocity of human innovation

Maintenance captures the drive for ecological and human preservation

Multiplicity captures the boundless potential of human convergence

Mobility captures the facilitation of human movement and idea exchange

A partial list of possible submissions include: Fractal art Art and artificial intelligence Mail-art Robotics and robotics sculpture Ascii-art Holography

Fine arts and mixed media Software art Digital art and photography Dioramas Projected displays Net.art Digital stamping Tech. painting, sculpture, etc.

Equilibrium: The Human Mash Up will open to the th public on October 17 at the Olympic Mills Commerce Center in southeast Portland. rd through October 3

Submission proposals are accepted now

at 5 pm.

Submissions must include the following: SUBMISSION GUIDELINES: 1) A brief description of the project, including size, dimensions, how it will be constructed, the inspiration behind the work, time needed for creation (if applicable), and where the work has been previously shown (if applicable) 2) What technology or media are involved in the project 3) Submission creator’s background 4) Whether or not a portfolio of previous work is available (portfolio availability not required, but helpful)
