Mrs. Asuncion “Susan” Dela Cruz, SCTS Vice President and Miss Christina Dela Cruz, Academics and Activities Coordinator, represented SCTS in the TESDA Orientation on Amendment of Section XVII – Sanctions and Penalties of the Amended Omnibus Guidelines on Program Registration under UTPRAS. Said orientation was held on March 26, 2019 in Monte Vista Hot Springs and Conference Resort, Calamba, Laguna, headed by TESDA Region 4-A Regional Director Nenuca Tangonan and the Provincial Directors of Batangas, Laguna, Quezon, Rizal and Cavite with PD Engr. Jovencio M. Ferrer, Jr. “Kayong mga TVIs, hindi kayo dapat maging interesado dito. Kung alam n’yong gagawa kayo ng tama, hindi kayo magiging interesado dito.” said Atty. Mel Ong as she points to the visual presentation of her outline on the Sanctions and Penalties for failure to follow TESDA Guidelines on Training Program Implementation
In the three-hour seminar, Atty. Mel Ong discussed red flag practices or pitfalls that TVIs might fall into, as well as their corresponding sanctions and procedures. Each participant was given a copy of the provisions on top of the actual discussion. The surprise question and answer from the speaker to attendees got everyone thinking on his feet with knowledge on UTPRAS, program registration, requirements and the likes. Cavite was very well represented, with the highest number of 75 attendees. CTVEA, Cavite Technical-Vocational Educators Association, organized TVImembers for their attendance which contributed to a good turn up in the event. Mrs. Susan Dela Cruz is the incumbent President of CTVEA. /cadc 032919
