Increasing the knowledge and skills of bystanders in the community to prevent sexual violence Presented by: EMPACT Suicide Prevention Center Sponsored by: Arizona Department of Health, Sexual Violence Prevention and Education Program Training for youth, parents, and professionals: • What is sexual assault? Who is at risk? • How does society play a role in shaping our norms and belief systems regarding gender and relationships? • What are the myths and realities of sexual violence? • What is my role as a bystander? What can I do to help prevent sexual violence in my community? • What can I do as a parent of professional to bring education and awareness to the youth in my community?
The training will take place at: Magellan Learning Department 1225 E. Broadway Suite 190 Tempe, Arizona 85282 Dates & Times (Participants must attend both days of session) Session 1: Monday, August 10th and 17th from 9:00-12:00 Session 2: Monday, September 14th and 21st from 9:00-12:00
