On the 11th of March, 2004, bombs exploded in Madrid. Scores were wounded and hundreds died.
Who? What? Al-Qaeda attacked Madrid with bombs 911 days after the twin towers fell in New York City.
The first bombs went off at 6:39 at Atocha Station in Spain. With in seconds 93 were killed.
Other Bombings At 6:41 two bombs exploded in a train located at El Pozo Station killing 70.
Police stand guard at El Pozo after Madrid is shaken by day long terror attacks.
Train was expected to explode in Atocha station as well. Atocha had been closed so medical workers could tend to the many wounded there.
Another Attack
Finally at 6:42 another bomb went off in a train passing through Santa Eugenia Station on its way to Atocha. 17 more were killed, dozens more wounded.
The End of a Long Day By the end of the day, about 180 people were killed while hundred more were injured. One of Spain’s Major rail stations was damaged and fear ran through the Spanish peoples minds. Al-Qaeda claims responsibility for the attacks and threatens more violence unless Spain withdraws troops from Arabic Lands.

July 7th, 2005, London England was attacked by terrorists.
3 underground trains were bombed while a double-decked bus was also attacked.

Who? What? 9 days prior to the London Bombings, supposed Al-Qaeda members, were scene travelling their planned course for attack. 3 bombs exploded at 8:50 am, during the morning commute. One exploded an hour later in a crowded town square.
Where? One explosion went off just outside of Liverpool Street Station.
Another went off outside of Edgar Road Station.
The final train explosion occurred between Kings Cross Station and Russell Square.
How it Ended About an hour after subway bombs, at 9:47 am, a bomb went off on a double-decked bus in Travistock Square. About 56 people were dead after an hour of attacks.
The attacks lasted for 3 days between November 26th and 29th of 2008.
Where? How? More then 15 gunmen attacked Mumbai, killing and taking hostages in more then 7 locations. The Taj Mahal Hotel became the center of attention as gun fights lasted days between the police and terrorists. Grenades were thrown causing explosions throughout all 7 locations.
More… Who? After it was over, with many terrorists killed, and few captured, Deccan Mujahideen claimed responsibility. Some Hindu extremists were arrested but the majority of the blame was placed on the Muslim extremists.
In The End 173 people died while 308 were injured.
Lashkar-e-Taiba was suspected to be responsible despite the claims already made.
Tensions between India and Pakistan rose as Lashkar-e-Taiba is a Terrorist organization, centered in Pakistan.
September 1st, 2004 over 1,000 people (mostly children) were taken hostage at a school in Russia.
Who? What? Hostage takers make contact with the police. Early on they clearly state, 50 hostages will be killed if any of the terrorists are killed by police. The terrorists were Chechen Rebels who demanded Vladimir Putin’s resignation and Russia’s withdraw from Chechnya.
How it Unfolded Around 2:45 pm on the second day 11 women and 15 children are released. By 1:00 pm on the third day, the gym has collapsed, killing 26 and 20 hostages have been shot. Around 2:00 pm on the third day, Russian forces storm the building, many escape in the dangerous circumstances.
Finally, It Ends
At 5:00 pm on the third day, the situation had calmed, all hostages who were remained alive, fled the building. All dead, were later found and accounted for, mainly in the collapsed gymnasium.
