Notes : (Includes Test Data, Test Ideas, Investigation Notes, Questions) Karan Indra: Test Ideas: 1. It would be better if Bing provides some IntelliSense based on the characters entered. 2. Pressing ‘Esc’ should dispose the ‘Share’ dialog, which is a handy shortcut. 3. Not storing (cache) the previously entered strings in the input text field.
Bugs : (With reason as to why do you think it’s a bug? Ex: Inconsistent within an application, Inconsistent when compared to most of the products etc.)

1. The dividing bar on the left does not function smoothly. It has a fixed variation. Either full expansion or no expansion. Usability issue. (Dividing_bar.jpeg).
2. Maps take time to load and display for further zoom-ins. (Slowness_in_Display.jpeg)

2. Wrong Location of Bangalore International Airport and Regional Passport Office in Aerial and Road Views.(Wrong_Location_OF_Bangalore_International_Airport.jpeg and Wrong_Location_OF_Bangalore_International_Airport_2.jpeg).

May seem many of the location updates have not happened.
3. An "Webpage not available" error reported when country was changed from India to "US-English" (Error_on_Changing_Country.jpeg).
4. The addition of push-pins from Collections do not fit at the correct location. Leads to confusion. (Push_pins_placed_wrongly.jpeg).

6. Did a search for Businesses (Accenture, Bannerghatta Road). But nothing was displayed on the map (Cant_find_businesses.jpeg)

7. No right click in the bing maps page if I want open in new tab. 8. The option “Save my Previous Location” doesn’t work 9. Zoom out keeping India in centre, India has more water resource!

10.The mini map is not accurate as well as locations are not exactly pointed out

11. When map is in road view if u click the same button again a pop message can state we are in road view mode 12. Only up to 40 m I can zoom after that even I click no action takes place example any lake you try to zoom in we loose focus

13.After certain range I move left or right an up or down I am clueless in map it is not showing anything only 40 or 50 km it shows may be I have gone beyond the areas of map but it could be fixed

14.Right click zoom to street level I can’t get anything information regarding to it

15.Spelling of Visakhapatnam is wrong .Referring Google names in this map it shows the spelling wrong

16.In directions if I give a and click on get directions no error message thrown

17.Not highlighting the already selected view (Road/Aerial).

18. ‘Hide Labels’ option can be shown only in Aerial view.
19.Showing invalid match criteria based on input ‘Himayath nagar’.

20.Showing small input text box in Locations mode.
21.The text in ‘Collections’ mode is not appropriate. It would be better if some example is shown.
22.Clicking on ‘Send in e-mail’ is launching Out Look for sending email. What if, Outlook is not configured? It supposed to ask the email address to whom we want to share it.

23.Changing the Country is not reflecting in the Bing maps with the selected country map. It is better to update with the selected country option. 24.Did a search and had my searched location pinned , When we right click on the pin for which the search result is done and click on Send in Email there is no action. The same hold good for the case when we click on Share and click on send an email there is no action. 25.Use “get directions” feature : give starting and end point. The city names are not completely being shown. The name should be clear and it should display completely.

26. Once you use the feature “directions” E.g. starting point: Chicago, IL and end point: Seattle, WA Then if you try to use the link “Reverse” it should only display the route details in reverse order. But right now it first display the search as per the standard which I mentioned in the first issue. Starting point: Chicago and end point: Seattle “This is very confusing for a user” – I asked for something which I am not getting exactly. 27. The hand takes much time to turn into a hand option so the user can “edit” something if they would like to.

28.“R” in mini-map window does not display proper layout for road view for the selected area.
29.3D view is not compatible or rather supported for Google Chrome – it says check the help section, I can not find any “help” link on this page. Bangalore Weekend Testers Email: [email protected]

30.Can not shuffle between “mi” and “km” under options link. If I wants to see distance in “mi” or “km” but if I performed the search then it shows the results “km” for an example. Now, if I want to see in “mi” so I go to “options” link and change it ….but no it will not work. I have re-perform the search again in order to take effect my saved parameters.
