DANCE HOUSE 3160 Haggerty Road, West Bloomfield 248-960-3262 Sometimes you just want to learn how to dance, without the pressure of competition, and sometimes you don't. At the Dance House in West Bloomfield, you can have the best of both dance worlds — competitive and "Just for Fun." Shayna Fink and her highly-trained and professional staff will take you through the steps to make you a dancer. "Following in the footsteps of her mother and grandmother, Shayna will be taking over as the new Studio Director," says Kim Fink. "She's taught tap and set choreography for national champion studios from coast to coast. I'm glad she's coming home to work with kids in our area." Shayna is most excited about the expanded "Just for Fun" classes, for those students who just want to enjoy learning how to dance or expand their skill set without the pressure of competition. If young dancers are looking to explore

"Dance House is for dancers of all ages," she said. "Our staff is made up of highlytrained, convention-quality professionals, including our Ballet Mistress, Luba Kytasta, who will give their very best to ensure a quality dance education for all students. Shayna's newest program will be a welcomed relief to recreational dance parents. "It's called the Dance Parent Stimulus Package," she said. "September classes are FREE and parents don't start paying tuition until October. In the unlikely event that parents don't think Dance House is the best studio in the area, they have no obligation to stay or pay. So, if you're looking to learn Hip Hop, Tap, Jazz or Ballet, we've got the qualified staff and ample studio to make your dance dreams come true." According to Shayna, Dance House will continue its tradition of donating proceeds from its May Competition Showcase to The Friendship Circle. This tradition was started by her mother, Kim Fink, and over the past three years raised $20,000 for local charities, including $10,000 to The Friendship Circle and $10,000 for Families of Spinal Muscular Atrophy. The family-owned business offers classes Monday through Saturday throughout most of the day. For serious dancers and those look "just for fun," the Dance House has the right class just for you. ❏

RONNIE'S JEWELERS & LOANS 7716 Cooley Lake Road, Waterford 248-363-1597 After 38 years of serving Lakes Area residents in the same location, Ronnie Fink is expanding his business — and remaining committed to the area. Ronnie's Jewelers & Loans has long provided area residents with tremendous selection and outstanding service. With Master Jewelers located onsite and reasonably priced, superior quality jewelry available, Ronnie's Jewelers & Loans continues to deliver the highest levels of customer satisfaction. Now Fink is adding a new confidential service. He is able to loan money safely and securely to customers who want to pawn jewelry at his store. The comparatively lowinterest loans are only available for jewelry people want to pawn, and customers have up to three months to redeem merchandise.

Ronnie Fink and his daughter, Nicole, redesign jewelry items they have purchased from local customers in recent months, which helps keep costs low. "It's a highly confidential process that takes very little time," Ronnie said. "It's not something we will openly discuss in the store and it comes with the same level of service our customers have come to expect from us." The Waterford retailer sells Pandora jewelry and estate jewelry, along with a wide selection of gold, silver, platinum and more for men and women. Ronnie and his staff also can fix virtually any type of jewelry, restoring it to its original condition. Many repairs can be handled onsite within minutes. Ronnie's also offers jewelry cleaning

services and products. The recession has only strengthened Ronnie's Jewelers & Loans from a business perspective. Ronnie and his daughter, Nicole, redesign jewelry, much of which is made from items they have purchased from local customers in recent months. This helps keep costs low. Ronnie's buys gold, silver, platinum and other precious metals. "We have jewelry that customers can purchase from $20 to several thousand dollars," Ronnie said. "We refine and recycle, which is a great advantage in this business." Merchandise is also available for trade.

And those individuals who can't find what they are looking for inside the store need only ask and Ronnie's can order that desired object from their vast network of global jewelry resources. Now customers can shop, purchase and have their jewelry repaired at one place, saving time and money along the way. Ronnie's also offers the highest prices for gold items that customers can get anywhere locally. Gold prices are at an alltime high globally, and gold items remain in demand. Customers can both shop for their dream gold pieces of jewelry and sell unwanted gold items for cash. The staff at Ronnie's is kind, considerate and compassionate. Many customers have remained fiercely loyal to the store for many years, and have passed along referrals to friends and family members. The sales associates pride themselves in not being pushy and truly listening to what customers want. "We sell upscale jewelry but we're reasonably priced and now with the ability to provide loans to our customers, we can offer the complete package," Ronnie said. Ronnie's Jewelers & Loans is open five days a week from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and on Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. (it is closed on Sundays). Call 248-363-1597 for more information. ❏

SAFEBET HIDDEN FENCING www.safebethiddenfence.com 810-654-9377 These days people don't need a wooden or metal fence to keep their pet out of the pound. In fact the best way to ensure the family dog doesn't become the neighborhood stray can't be seen at all. "The idea when we set this business up was to offer a high quality product at a reasonable price. Something everybody can afford," said Randy Badour, owner of SafeBet Hidden Fencing of Michigan LLC. "With some of the other companies out there, you call them up, have them come out and they give you a price that is usually very, very expensive. We wanted to offer something that everybody could do. What Randy offers is a safe, economical alternative to chain link fencing. His product, Hidden Fence, is 99.2 percent effective at training a dog to respect the boundaries of a yard. Not to mention Hidden Fence can save pet owners thousands of dollars compared to wood or

metal fence installation. There's no guarantees that a chain link fence will work either. Dogs can climb over them or dig under them or someone will make the mistake of leaving the gate open. Randy has received plenty of calls to go put in an electric fence inside their fence. With Hidden Fence, the dog is fit with a collar which emits a warning sound when the animal wanders too close to the boundaries specified at installation. If the animal continues towards the boundaries the collar delivers a mild corrective stimulation. "Depending on the dog, you are talking about two to four weeks for training. Once they hear that warning tone that is all it takes," said Badour, who uses Hidden Fence to keep his dog, Kramer, from terrorizing the neighbors. Hidden Fence's collar interacts with a boundary of wire installed into the ground.

The process of setting up the wire takes between two and four hours. Badour and his crew slice open the ground in order to thread Hidden Fence across the yard. The grass makes a complete recovery within days of installation. "We're a local business. I think we offer a little more personal touch for the customer. We're available when the customer calls and we're there the same day doing whatever they need, from any problems they have with the system to training their dog," said Badour. All of Badour's packages include up to one acre of Hidden Fence wiring. As well as keeping pets in the yard, SafeBet also offers solutions inside the home, in the form of small battery powered units which will safeguard anything from a garbage can or toilet bowl to a computer room. "If you have something in the house you

want to keep the cat away from, these will do the trick," said Badour. The aforementioned devices and others including training equipment for sporting dogs and other remote training collars are available for purchase online at www.safebethiddenfence.com. Discipline for a dog is one thing, Badour has pet owners in mind with the newest addition to the SafeBet stable. Now anyone who owns a goldfish, parakeet, cat, dog, or any other house pet can go to SafeBet Hidden Fencing's website and purchase everything from food to collars. "Order what you want and it's delivered right to your door," said Badour. Customers can either make a one time purchase or schedule regular deliveries of a wide array of high quality products. People are so busy now they don't want to mess with buying pet food. Whatever they need just comes automatically and they don't even have to think about it," said Badour. SafeBet is most proud of making pet protection and training products more affordable for everyone. SafeBet Hidden Fencing is available for appointments year round, Monday through Saturday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Please call 810-654-9377 or visit them at www.safebethiddenfence.com to set up an installation time. ❏

DICK MORRIS CHEVROLET 2199 Haggerty Road, Commerce 248-624-4500 For 40 years, the people at Dick Morris Chevrolet have been providing great products along with a level of incredible customer service that sets them apart. And with a solid business plan that focuses on customer needs and not just "pushing metal," the business has hundreds of loyal and faithful customers. But in this economy you need more than a friendly face, you need a friend. "In this tough economy, we've been focused on meeting our customers' needs," said Rick Morris. "Next to housing and food, transportation is a need for people if they want to work or go get food or go get health care. They need reliable, independent transportation." With so much economic uncertainty surrounding the new car market, there are plenty of used and Certified Pre-Owned vehicles to choose from. "What we are seeing in the market is that there are customers who are seeking used cars in

good condition that are seven, eight and up to nine-years-old with reasonable mileage. And we are working to fill that need," Morris said. "We are seeing a lot of people who wouldn't have bought a used car a few years ago and now they're looking for a late model used car." Dick Morris Chevrolet not only carries used GM products but also seeks to provide a wide range of used vehicles covering many nameplates — all to fill customer

needs. You'll also find plenty of GM Certified Pre-Owned vehicles that come with a five-year/100,000 mile powertrain warranty. And depending on what model year, attractive financing rates are available. "We focus on the whole customer by not only providing new and used vehicles but also a collision shop, as well as service and repair," Morris said. "We know that in today's market buying or having a vehicle

repaired isn't a luxury anymore, it's a need. And we are working hard every day to help fill that need. "We're very excited about 2009 being our 40th anniversary as an auto dealership," he said. "With so many businesses struggling and even closing during these tough times we have come to appreciate what being here for 40 years means to us, our customers, and our employees. We really appreciate the loyalty of our customers and the hard work and dedication of our employees. Many of our customers are expressing their appreciation for our presence as a solid, reliable auto dealership during these tough times, and that is very gratifying to all of us here." MILFORD MONTESSORI SCHOOL 2700 E. Commerce Road, Milford 248-685-7600 Milford Montessori School (MMS) is celebrating 35 years of educating young children from 2.5 to 12 years of age in Oakland County. We are excited to celebrate this milestone by launching our New Infant and Toddler Programs. We will be the only recognized "Montessori Children's House" to serve this community from infancy through 6th grade. We are dedicated to meeting the needs of our families and community. A Montessori education "prepares children for life," not just the next academic level. At MMS, all of our teachers are Montessori Certified, and utilize and practice the philosophy and education methods of Dr. Maria Montessori in a loving and nurturing environment. "As a Montessori school we cultivate the child's own natural curiosity and desire to

Regina Boffi, director of the Milford Montessori School, provides a culturally rich environment equipped with the sequential Montessori materials, in addition to multiple 'hands-on' exercises. learn," says Director Regina Boffi. "We provide a culturally rich environment which is equipped with the sequential Montessori materials in addition to multiple 'hands-on' exercises. These exercises allow the children to learn through the exploration of these materials in the classroom, as well as outside in nature. In any one classroom, you may observe children simultaneously washing dishes, exploring geometry, working a puzzle map, or having a phonics lesson. In the prepared environment they are joyfully doing their 'work' independently, or with a

friend, while socializing with each other. The Montessori Philosophy of 'follow the child' allows the child to work at their own pace and move ahead in areas of high interest, while maintaining a steady progress in others. Remaining with the same teacher for two to three years allows for an uninterrupted flow of learning. The children know the 'works' and are comfortable in their classrooms because they know this is a nurturing environment of mutual respect, a place where they can try new things and build confidence in their own abilities."

Situated on 3.5 acres in Milford Township, Milford Montessori provides classrooms for Infant, Toddler, Pre-primary, Kindergarten and Elementary grades 1st through 6th. The Infant/Toddler programs have a 1:4 child/teacher ratio, while all other classrooms have a 1:8 ratio. We are a state licensed private school, nursery school and childcare center. "Most of our staff have worked together between 10 to 30 years, and truly love 'helping children to help themselves,' creating an atmosphere of community, respect, and joy in learning. We have a lot of parent involvement, including some second-generation Milford Montessori students, which helps create a strong sense of family. So many of our former students, that are in college, come back to visit, and several have come back to work here. It's wonderful to see them, to see how much they have grown as a person, and hear how much they have enjoyed their school experiences. For me that's the real difference of a Montessori education." To celebrate our 35th Anniversary, several alumni and staff are planning a reunion to be held next May. We hope all former Milford Montessori students will be able to join us. We encourage you to schedule an observation of a classroom so that you can see for yourself the Montessori Difference. ❏

SHUMAN CHRYSLER JEEP 1111 S. Commerce Road, Walled Lake 248-669-2010 Shuman Chrysler Jeep is one of the most prominent commercial symbols in Walled Lake and the lakes area region in general. This has been true for more than 50 years. The family-owned dealership sponsors local high school athletic teams and other youth sports leagues. Many of Shuman Chrysler Jeep's employees grew up in the area and hold a fierce pride in their employer. What makes customers come back to Shuman Chrysler Jeep is service and price. The dealership will beat any advertisement, any price, no questions asked. Shuman Chrysler Jeep can do this because its managers keep overhead low, so customers benefit from the best price. The owners haven't paid a mortgage since the 1960s and instead invest in hiring the best professionals and giving them the best technology, allowing them to efficiently serve customers.

The Shuman Chrysler Jeep staff’s everyday, friendly customer service has been a cornerstone of the business’ success since it founded by President Bob Shuman’s (front row, second from left) grandfather in the mid-1950s. Shuman Chrysler Jeep opened a new showroom with many convenient amenities and cosmetic changes in January 2007, and the dealership won't be going anywhere. President Bob Shuman admits that the interior of the dealership may not have granite countertops, nor will customers get free cappuccinos when visiting (although your basic cup of hot coffee is available); but they will get unmatched service in a clean, friendly environment from professionals who aren't hard sellers or pushy. This everyday, friendly customer service

has been a cornerstone of Shuman's success since it was founded by Bob's Grandfather Shuman in the mid-1950s. Shuman continues that family tradition today. The service doesn't end with the delivery of a vehicle, either. The dealership's Chrysler-trained Service Technicians are the best in the area. Shuman was one of Michigan's first Five Star Dealerships and it has maintained that status for several years. Its Customer Satisfaction Index scores are some of the highest in the country.

When a vehicle is serviced, Shuman technicians utilize the latest computerized diagnostic equipment and specialized Chrysler tools to ensure the job is done right the first time, on time. Bob Shuman is a graduate of Walled Lake Central High School, and the dealership's employees are fixtures on a variety of school and parental organizations and boards. Shuman Chrysler Jeep lends its vehicles to the annual Memorial Day Parade in Walled Lake and to each of the city's three high school homecoming celebrations in the fall. Other dealership employees are involved in a variety of local charitable causes, including the Relay for Life and many church programs. "There are so many great causes and we try to play a role in as many of them as we can," Shuman said. "Our employees are great in that way, as well, because they represent themselves and our business so well. "It's true that we concentrate on helping with the local schools quite a bit because we believe in the youth of our community and we want to keep them here in Michigan," he said. Shuman Chrysler Jeep is open six days a week with late hours until 9 p.m. on Mondays and Fridays. Visit www.shumanjeep.com for more information. ❏

ALLSTATE INSURANCE — KELLY WEAVER AGENCY 39540 14 Mile Road, Walled Lake 248-960-3000

Kelly Weaver (third from left) and her staff offer one-stop shopping for all insurance and financial planning needs.

Service. Most businesses talk about it, Kelly Weaver delivers — and always above and beyond what customers expect. "Service is first and foremost in my business," Weaver said. "You can buy insurance products anywhere, but personalized service is what you'll find here." Working with Allstate since 1995, Weaver opened her own agency in 2000 to better serve the lakes area residents to meet their home, car, business, boat, motorcycle, life insurance and financial needs. "We pride ourselves in exceptional customer service," Weaver said. "We'll take the time to explain your policies and review what is happening in the insurance industry with every client. We return all phone calls and discuss all insurance issues." Weaver's agency provides one-stop

shopping. All your insurance and financial needs can be managed through one place with the Kelly Weaver Agency. "We have exciting new rate plans," Weaver said. "With lower rates and new products to offer, I really enjoy what I do every day." It's true that most people know very little about the insurance industry. Even less understand it or can comprehend the many federal and state laws related to insurance issues. That's why the Kelly Weaver Agency is here to service all residential and business customers. The agency is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., with evening and Saturday appointments available. For more information call 248-960-3000 or log onto www.allstate.com/kellyweaver. ❏

CHICKEN SHACK 4349 Highland Road, Waterford 248-682-7000 Chicken Shack has been a Detroit area institution since 1956. Known for its broasted chicken and potatoes, coleslaw, battered cod and other savory dishes, Chicken Shack has a lakes area location on Highland Road in Waterford. The goal from Chicken Shack's beginning has been "to give customers the highest quality product possible at a reasonable price." That goal has remained constant. The menu has expanded drastically since that time and now includes baby back ribs; broasted and barbecued chicken; pork chops; a variety of fish from cod to shrimp to perch; potatoes of all kinds; coleslaw; and much more. Chicken Shack food has become a staple at weekend parties and holidays, office birthdays, summer picnics, team banquets, and more. The Waterford location can cater all events — big or small — held in the area. Although

Chicken Shack is known for its takeout and drive-thru service, the Waterford location provides an expanded dine-in area. A complete Chicken Shack menu and an extensive party planner to help you plan your next catered event is available at www.chickenshack.com. Lunch specials are available for $4.99 daily from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Chicken Shack is open until 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and until 11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. To place an order or for more information, call the Chicken Shack on Highland Road at 248-682-7000. ❏

DWYER AND SONS VOLVO SUBARU 3055 E. West Maple Road, Commerce 248-624-0400 With 50 years of experience as a Volvo dealership in Detroit, the Dwyer family still strives to sell, service and maintain each customer's "next" vehicle. Jim, Pat and Frank Dwyer, all brothers and sons of founder Joe Dwyer, each handle important aspects of the dealership. "Frank is the parts and service director, Jim handles Subaru sales and I handle Volvo sales," said Pat Dwyer. "Our dealership has the longest relationship with Volvo in the area." In 1959, Dwyer and Sons began in Detroit and called Grand River and Seven Mile home for 34 years before moving to Commerce Township and opening its 40,000-square-foot "new home." Bringing in the Subaru lineup in 1982 brought in more customers looking for a dependable and safe automobile.

The full-service dealership offers a body shop for all makes and models of cars, a full parts and service center for Volvo and Subaru models, as well as new and used vehicles for sale. There are plenty of Certified Pre-Owned Volvo and Subaru models to choose from on the used car lot ,as well as many non-Volvo and Subaru vehicles.

On the new car lot, you'll find the 2010 Volvo XC 60. This six-cylinder, four-door SUV offers 16/22 mpg with its automatic transmission. "It's our mid-size Volvo sport utility vehicle," Pat said. "And the more spacious 2010 Subaru Legacy is available. We also have aggressive offers available for our remaining 2009 and 2008 models on the

lot." The Legacy offers either a four or sixcylinder engine, all wheel drive and plenty of safety features including four-wheel ABS, airbags, brake assist and traction control. For more in-depth information regarding its vehicles, log onto www.dwyerandsons.com. And as part of the Ford Family of vehicles, Dwyer and Sons accepts employee and retiree pricing plans on all new Volvos. "We still lease cars, also," said Pat. "We want to earn your business and we are always looking forward to meeting our next customer." Dwyer and Sons Volvo Subaru continues to support local charities in the lakes area. "Frank is very involved with Walled Lake Schools and is a band booster," Pat said. "We enjoy supporting local charities such as the Relay for Life and have been a part of the West Bloomfield United We Walk event for quite a while. If our customers approach us about a good cause, we certainly will listen and do what we can." Located in Commerce Township on Maple Road between M-5 and Haggerty Road, the dealership is open Mondays and Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.; Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.; and on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. ❏

More than 25 years ago, Tom Marcucci had a pickup truck, a cement mixer and a business plan. Serving his customers from the same location, he's added a few more trucks as well as Bobcats and Backhoes and experienced and reliable employees, and he sticks to his plan — pouring the best concrete for his clients. His hard work and dedication for his craft have made Marcucci Construction one of the most highly regarded and recognized firms in all of southeastern Michigan. While he has worked on projects throughout the region and around the state, he is proud to call Oakland County home and has always been active in the local community. Based on the recommendation of customers and peers, Marcucci's high quality work landed him as one of the contractors on the popular ABC television show Extreme Makeover Home Edition.

Tom Marcucci's high-quality work made him a contractor on the popular ABC television show Extreme Makeover Home Edition, where he poured concrete for the front footing and porch for the Vardon family of Oak Park. He also poured a driveway for All-pro Detroit Lions Running Back Barry Sanders. Marcucci also is involved with community youth as a baseball manager and has been on the Board of Directors for the Lakes Athletic Association. He has supported youth sports in the community for 20 years. Some of his most rewarding community work has been with both community youth programs and other charitable organizations. AMERICAN ALLSTARS GYMNASTICS ACADEMY 3275 Martin Road, Commerce 248-668-9805 In three years, American Allstars Gymnastics has grown from a gymnastics facility to an all around, family-friendly center. They offer Gymnastics, Karate, Fitness, Camps, Birthday Parties, Field Trips, Open Gym, Private Lessons, Safety Seminars and much more! Programs start with kids as young as 2years-old and move up through classes of various age and skill levels. Owner John Gosselin has continued to add programs that appeal to area families. "Other programs want you to commit to a 10-week session," he said. "Our September through June program is pay by the month and you can stop at the end of any month. "We know summer can be very busy so

we offer a flex gymnastics schedule for July and August," he added. You can commit to just one class at a time. No more paying for classes that your child can't attend." For those families who need some "summer help" to keep their kids entertained during the day, the facility offers more than 22 varieties of summer camps. This summer Gosselin has brought in a character development program called Kids Empowered. "Kids Empowered will run seven camps for us focusing on character development, teaching kids good lessons and good

choices," he said. American Allstars will also have 15 varieties of sports and specialty camps. The specialty camps include a movie making camp, "Totally Circus" and "Kids Being Kids" camp. The sports camps include jump rope, gymnastics, tumbling, karate and more. Last July American Allstars added karate to its family of physical activities and now has nearly 200 kids working their way through the belt ranks. "Karate has been a great addition and the community support has been tremendous," Gosselin said. "Having more

than 800 kids already involved in our gymnastics program it just made sense to offer karate which appealed to more kids in our current families, as well as new families. We will look to keep adding programs our families want their children to be involved in. It saves parents time and money running the kids all over town to different facilities." This year they added a new fitness center named "The Edge," which is not your typical fitness center. It's designed with kids in mind, giving them the "EDGE" they need to succeed in all sports. "It's an unconventional workout," Gosselin said. "We'll use unique and creative methods to gain flexibility, balance and strength. The rock wall will not just be for fun, but for physical fitness to build core, shoulders, hamstrings and legs. It's fun and physical fitness coming together for a great workout." Gosselin is particularly thankful to the community that has supported his academy. "I really appreciate the community's support," he said. "I know the economy is tough but people are still taking care of their kids and we appreciate they are choosing us to keep their kids active and healthy." Call the office today at 248-668-9805 for a FREE trial class and visit their web site at www.americanallstarskids.com to find out all the programs they have to offer. ❏

LUNGHAMER BUICK GMC 5825 Highland Road, Waterford 248-461-1000 Over three generations and 55 years, you've heard the name — Lunghamer. And now with two locations in Waterford Township to better serve customers, Lunghamer Buick GMC continues its tradition of selling and servicing GM vehicles. And they work hard for their customers on the weekend, just like any other business day. "We've always been open on Saturdays from 9 to 5," said Joe Lunghamer. "It's just another business day for us. We want to provide convenience for our customers." One key to providing great customer sales and service is to know your customers; and at Lunghamer, having employees who stick around helps tremendously. "We have many employees who have been with us for quite awhile," Lunghamer said. "A lot of our employees at the GMC store came over with us from the Chevrolet store. We've been in the community a long time and we take good care of our customers." Part of taking care of customers is providing a convenient and nice place to do business. Taking part in GM's image program, Lunghamer Buick GMC has updated its facility and has more improvements coming. "We've completely renovated our showroom and the service drive, and we've added a new look to the front of the building. We've painted everything and we're basically brand new," Lunghamer said. With the dealership's recent renovations, Lunghamer was awarded a beautification award by Waterford Township. A comfortable, clean customer lounge awaits anyone who is waiting for service and parts, as well as contemplating a purchase. There's cable TV and work areas for those who need to stay on top of their business while getting their vehicle serviced. There are plans to add a WI-FI connection in the near future. "We are a full-service dealership with a collision shop, a parts department and service, and we have our own loaner cars for rentals," Lunghamer said. "And we offer courtesy shuttles to take customers to work while we service their vehicles. We have coffee and just try to take care of our customers as best we can." Of course, there are plenty of new and used vehicles on the Lunghamer Buick GMC lot to choose from.

"The used car business is growing due to the state of the economy and will continue to grow, and we are working to ensure our customers have a large selection of quality used vehicles and certified preowned vehicles to choose from," he said, adding there are warranties available on used cars. "The quality of the cars that have been made the past few years has increased tremendously and that greatly improves the reliability of these cars," Lunghamer said. "If a vehicle still is under warranty, the Certified Pre-Owned program will increase that warranty by 12 months or 12,000 miles. Normal warranties are three-years or 36,000 miles, but now you can get fouryears or 48,000 miles. Buick even offers a five-year or 60,000 mile warranty." Lunghamer has a building dedicated solely to used and Certified Pre-Owned vehicles. On the new car lot, the 2010 Buick Lacrosse will be in showrooms by the end of July and ready for delivery to your garage. "This vehicle should do for Buick what Enclave did for Buick in terms of the crossover," he said. "It brings shoppers into the showroom who are looking for that

vehicle on its own merits. The Enclave was a very desirable vehicle when it was introduced. The Buick Lacrosse is going to do the same thing and bring in folks who weren't thinking about a Buick. It's now on their shopping list." Not to be outdone, GMC also has a new vehicle for 2010 that will replace the popular Envoy, but not at the same size. "The 2010 GMC Terrain will be out this summer, as well," Lunghamer said. "It's smaller than the Acardia and Enclave sport utility but built with the same GMC professional grade technology, look, and GMC heritage as it replaces the Envoy. It will be complimentary to our larger SUVs, and it's more of a crossover. These vehicles will be very important in the new GM and its future." Lunghamer hinted that GMC and Buick are just getting started in bringing out additional incredible vehicles. "There's new product coming in the next two years that will enhance each brand," he said. "The things I've heard that are coming out are very exciting and will be great for our customers." With 40 employees currently (and 60 at the Chevrolet store), Lunghamer Buick GMC is proud to be able to help support

families during these difficult economic times. "Our family of dealerships is helping keep families going in this tough time and that's very important to us," Lunghamer said. Selling, servicing and maintaining vehicles for those in the lakes area is a huge priority for the Lunghamer stores, but helping out in the community and surrounding area is always a top priority. "We've always supported local high schools and some of the golf outings," he said. "We always get requests to help out, whether it's with the yearbook ads, or the hole-in-one prize for the Waterford Chamber of Commerce golf outing. We try to participate as much as we can. We don't do one huge thing but we do lots of little things and do our best to help out with local causes in general." Conveniently located on Highland Road (M-59) near the Oakland County International Airport, Lunghamer is here to help you find the perfect Buick or GMC vehicle. It doesn't matter if you're looking for a car, truck, SUV or even parts and service — their friendly sales staff and full-service collision center are here with convenient hours to fit your busy schedule. ❏
