Time Management is an extremely popular concept that is being capitalized on today, which reflects the core concepts of industry The growing amount of homework assigned in schools today is a testament to the value of industry in education (which implies that we as a society believe that industry is an important virtue to instill in the future generation) The amount of time wasted at workplaces is also a testament to the reality of human-ness in the workplace: we, as a society might strive to exhibit the value of industry, but in reality, we falter. What is important? Industry demands that we cut off all useless activity. What does this mean? What is classified as useless activity? It varies depending on every person. Every activity can be reasoned to have some sort of value if its looked into deep enough Why is industry so important? It is an economic necessity. Today’s world of fiercely competing economies and businesses requires that everything that goes into the company (i.e. time) needs to be optimized to be able to compete with other companies. o Perhaps this is why the value is transcended into the realm of general society?
