Brenna Mahoney Recommendation

December 9, 2018 To Whom It May Concern, I am privileged and pleased to be writing a letter of recommendation for Brenna Mahoney. In many ways, she has impressed me with her character and her proactive work ethic. I have known this young lady for over six years. We know each other via a student/coach relationship. She was one of my most dedicated athletes. Throughout my years of coaching Brenna, I have been impressed by the way she takes instruction. She doesn’t look at input as failing but as a growth opportunity, which is impactful. When I was given the privilege of teaching Brenna slap hitting, she viewed the task as a thrilling challenge even though a new batting technique can be frustrating mentally and physically. Another attribute that I have noticed with Brenna as she plays softball is her willingness to encourage and support her teammates. She is authentic with her compliments. Brenna not only has pushed herself in dome ball the last five years, but she also has found time to dedicate herself to coaching young athletes for the last four years in summer recreation. In addition, Brenna displays leadership in many ways by being committed to student council for three years, Minnesota Honor Society for a year, a volunteer for Youth Frontiers for two years, and a helper at Vacation Bible school for the last five years. She knows what it means to give back to young people, which is an admirable quality. I would strongly recommend Brenna Mahoney. As she pursues her ambitions, she will not falter from her course. She will have the endurance to not only complete her program but to finish with honors.
