"Anybody who completely surrenders to him has nothing to worry about," says Milind Gunaji hailing from a very religious family, "my spiritual journey started very early when i was just a kid. Even from my father’s side, my great grandfather, the late Nagesh Vasudeva Gunaji, was a spiritual journalist who wrote the first Shirdi Sai Charitra in English and Gita Rahaysa." “My guruji had predicted eight years before that one day in the future, I will do the role of Sai Baba. And now, Milind Gunaji has been signed on to play the lead role of Shirdi Sai Baba by a London-based producer, S.Prakash in Guru Sai Film International’s movie titled : " BRAHMAND NAYAK SAI BABA " in Hindi & " THE LORD - SHIRDI KE SAI BABA " in English. It is a challenging role for me because many films have been made, over the years, on Sai Baba and many actors have played the lead. To keep the essence intact, yet, leave my own mark on the character is quite a challenge for me as an actor,” says Milind. This could be the umpteenth film made on this subject, but Milind, is pretty upbeat about it.

The muhurat shot was taken on Milind Gunaji (playing Sai Baba), Kalpana Sathe and Abhimanyu Singh. Shri Jayant Sasane, Chairman, Shirdi Seva Sansthan gave the clap and Lyricist / Producer S. Prakash switched on the Camera. A 45-day shooting spell has commenced at various locates of Mumbai and Shirdi. For THE FIRST TIME in Shirdi, it has been allowed for a film to be Shot inside the Temple Sanctum before the Idol of Sai Baba when the Clapper-Board sound for the Mahurat Shot was canned on Milind Gunaji recently.
