NOTES OF INTERPRETATION

STRINGS Bow position: st (sul tasto), ord (normal position), sp (sul ponticello). Bow pressure: black square (full pressure), black and white square (medium pressure), white square (normal pressure). Accidents:

-_ g b d n p+ s y (the microtonal accidents should be interpreted as a deviations

of no more than a ¼ tone)

: Seagull effect. Do not adjust the interval as you go down.

: Thrill between normal note and its artificial harmonic by placing the finger a 4th above.

: Unmeasured jeté.

PIANO

: Scratch over the indicated string, with a guitar pick or fingernail.

: “Gong effect”. Damped the indicated string (with the pedal on), producing a gong-like sound.

Diamond head should be performed as an ad lib harmonic. Duration: 6 min. approx.
