Bomb threat closes Torgersen Ha ll ; Traffic re-routed By Lar ~ -FI incke_ r BLACKSBURG , VA., Apr i l 2 , 2007 -- The universi ty has received a bomb threat for Torgersen Hall . The building has been evacuated and closed to all personnel . All classes in Torgersen Hall are cancelled for the remaind e r of the day and evening . The Alumni Mall will be cl osed to through -traffic in both directions . Travelers are encouraged to use another ro ute . Virginia Tech Police are on the scene . Effective immediately, all Blacksburg Transit (BT) bus routes, with pick up and drop off points on campus, will be detoured to Perry Street . BT buses will only travel to Perry Street . If you need to ride a bus from anywhere on campus, you must go to Perry Street to catch the bus . If you are traveling to campus, BT will only go as far as Perry Street. This detour is in e ffect until the bomb threat at Torgersen Hall has been eliminated . For more information call Blacksburg Transit at 961-1185 .
