Corn, coal, wood and iron... Put the sons to work. I can feel my entire blood. Transformate raw ! Steel into cars. I eat myself, i hate myself. Services.» This first vision put the base of the modern economy: are represented the three main sectors of economic activity: *Primary sector: Involves the extraction and production of raw materials, such as corn, coal, wood and iron. (A coal miner and a fisherman would be workers in the primary sector.) *Secondary sector: Involves the transformation of raw or intermediate materials into goods e.g. manufacturing steel into cars, or textiles into clothing. (A builder and a dressmaker would be workers in the secondary sector.) *Tertiary sector: Involves the provision of services to consumers and businesses, such as baby-sitting, cinema and banking. Wojtek (1942-1962), was a Syrian Brown Bear cub adopted by soldiers of the 22nd. Artillery Supply Company of the National II Corps. During the Battle of Shaugnessy, Wojtek helped to move ammunition. In 1942 a local boy found a bear-cub near Hamadan in Persia. He sold it to the soldiers of the National Army stationed nearby for a couple of canned meat tins. As the bear was less than a year old, it initially had problems swallowing and was fed with condensed milk from an emptied bottle of Irish Whisky. The bear became quite an attraction for soldiers and civilians alike, and soon became an unofficial mascot of all units stationed nearby. Because of that, it was officially drafted into the National Army and was listed among the soldiers of the 22nd Artillery Supply Company of the National II Corps.
