Beth Mason Education: Beth earned her BS degree in Mass Communications at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) where she was Student Body President and represented 35,000 students. Beth also earned over 100 credits toward a BFA at VCU and has done postgraduate work at Harvard’s John F. President of the New Jersey Foundation for Open Government- Beth served as President of the non-profit New Jersey Foundation for Open Government in which she helped revise the Open Public Meetings Act to make government documents more affordable to residents. Beth also successfully fought for Hoboken City Council and Board of Education meetings to be televised and wait lists for public housing to be published. Founding Member of Hoboken People for Open Government which has fought for more transparency in open government. Founding Member of the Hudson Street Coalition which successful protected historic Hudson Street from being over developed. As a private citizen, Beth used her own funds to litigate against City of Hoboken and its agencies to enforce compliance with Open Public Records Act and Open Public Meetings Act.
