Q1. (Product Mix Problem) A furniture company manufactures fables & chairs. Each table requires 4 Hrs in carpentry & 2 Hrs painting. Each chair takes 3 Hrs in carpentry & 1 Hr in painting. At present 300 Hrs of carpentry & 120 Hrs painting time one available each table sold generates a profit of Rs. 70/- & each chair sold generates a profit of Rs. 50/-. Suggest possible combination of tables & chairs to be manufactured to get maximum profit. Q2. (Minimization) The vitamin A & B found in two different foods. One unit of food F-1 contains 2 units of vitamin A and 5 units of vitamin B. One unit of food F-2 contains 4 units of vitamin A & 2 units of vitamin B. One unit of food F-1 & F-2 cost Rs. 3/- & Rs. 2/50 respectively. The minimum daily requirement for a person of vitamin A is 40 units & that of vitamin B in 50 units. Find maximum of food F-1 & F- at the minimum cost which meets the daily minimum requirement of vitamin A & B.
