Barack Obama is the 44th president of the United States. He is the first African American president. Obama was born in Hawaii. His mother was from Kansas and his father was from Kenya. Obama studied at Harvard Law School. He was a law professor for twelve years. In 2005, he became a state senator. Just four years later, in 2009, he became the president of the United States. Obama met his wife, Michelle Robinson in Chicago in 1989. They got married in 1992. They have two daughters named Malia Ann and Natasha. In January 2009, the family moved from Chicago, Illinois to the White House in Washington D.C. Now, President Obama is working on improving the economic crisis and ending the war. We will see how well he does over the next four years.
