Background on disease / symptom Diseases those are treated by using Infliximab compose of Crohn's disease, psoriatic arthritis, plaque psoriasis, ankylosing spondylitis, ulcerative colitis, and rheumatoid arthritis. Two main indications those use the Infliximab to treat are Crohn's disease and the rheumatoid arthritis whereas treating the rheumatoid arthritis must use Infliximab with methotrexate. But the scope of diseases that this report will concern most are Crohn’s disease and Rheumatoid arthritis.

Crohn's disease is a chronic that damages a digestive tract by inflammation and irritation. The cause of the disease does not sure but there are 6 factors those aggravate compose of age, ethnicity, family history, cigarette smoking, nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory medications, and habitat. Its symptoms are diarrhea, cramping and pain in your abdomen, and weight loss. It affects the last segment of intestine called ileum and colon. Its symptoms will show gradually or occur suddenly without signs. There are many signs compose of diarrhea, fever, fatigue, abdominal pain and cramping, blood in your stool, mouth sores, reduced appetite and weight loss, pain or drainage near or around the anus due to inflammation from a tunnel into the skin (fistula), Inflammation of skin, eyes and joints, liver or bile ducts, delayed growth or sexual development, in children. Crohn's disease may cause many complications such as Bowel obstruction, Ulcers, Fistulas, Anal fissure, Malnutrition, Colon cancer, Other health problems, and Medication risks.

Rheumatoid arthritis is a chronic that affect joints, the skin, eyes, lungs, heart and blood vessels. It causes by attacking of immune system to body’ tissues. Its symptoms and signs compose of tender, warm, swollen joints, joint stiffness, fatigue, fever and weight loss. It affects some small joints first such as fingers and toes and then it spreads to wrists, knees, ankles, elbows, hips and shoulders. It can affect a non-joint structure such as skin, eyes, lungs, heart, kidneys, salivary glands, nerve tissue, bone marrow, and blood vessels. Rheumatoid arthritis is caused by attacking of an immune system to the synovium. It causes inflammation of the synovium that causes the cartilage and bone within the joint are destroyed. The starting of the process is not known but there are 6 factors those can cause higher risk such as sex, age, family history, smoking, environmental exposures, and obesity. Patient of this disease can increase the risk to be in current diseases including Osteoporosis, Rheumatoid nodules, dry eyes and mouth, infections, abnormal body composition, Carpal tunnel syndrome, heart problems, lung disease, and Lymphoma.

Available Treatment of disease / symptom For the treatment of Crohn's disease, there are many treatments but there is no treatment that work with every people. The medical treatment is used for decreasing the infection that stimulate the sign and the symptom. First treatment is the anti-inflammatory drugs. This drug is used for treatment of inflammatory bowel disease. There are 2 drugs including Corticosteroids and Oral 5-aminosalicy. Second treatment is the immune system suppressors. They are the drugs those have same function with the anti-inflammatory drugs but they target the immune system. They include Azathioprine (Azasan, Imuran) and mercaptopurine (Purinethol, Purixan), Infliximab (Remicade), adalimumab (Humira) and certolizumab pegol (Cimzia), Methotrexate (Trexall), Natalizumab (Tysabri) and vedolizumab (Entyvio), and Ustekinumab (Stelara). Third therapy uses some medications to abate signs and symptoms such as anti-diarrheals, pain relievers, iron supplements, vitamin B-12 shots, and calcium and vitamin D supplements. Fourth therapy is a nutrition therapy that does by injecting nutrients into vein to treat Crohn's disease. This therapy is used for allowing the bowel to rest to decrease inflammation. Fifth therapy is a surgery that uses when all of the previous treatments do not decrease sign and symptom. During surgery, the digestive tract that is damaged will be removed and then reconnect the healthy part. For the treatment of Rheumatoid arthritis, a patient will send to a physical or occupational therapist to do exercise that help joints flexible. A surgery therapy uses when a medication is fail. There are 4 surgeries to repair Rheumatoid arthritis. First is synovectomy that is removing of the inflamed synovium. It is done on elbows, knees, wrists, fingers, and hips. Secondary is tendon repair that is repairing of the tendons around your joint that get inflammation. Thirdly is joint fusion that is combining of a joint. Fourthly is total joint replacement that is removing of the damaged joint and then insert prosthesis that is made from plastic and metal.
