Curve of the Earth New Alliance 110 Brookline St. Cambridge, MA 02139 Attn: Alvan Long
Curve of the Earth presents the full-length debut of Bacchus King, a power-trio with hybrid influences from the 60’s and 90’s. They demand to be seen live. Musical talent abound... drummer Max Levy swings like a young Mitch Mitchell. Bassist Steve Fanale lays it down like a member of Grand Funk, and vocalist/guitarist Kevin Boldwin may bring to mind Jeff Buckley or Hendrix. Unafraid to make hard rock swing, Bacchus King’s brand of psychoactive stone is coming to a market near you.
Biography Bacchus King formed when Vermont natives Kevin Boldwin (vocals/guitar) and Max Levy (drums) moved to Boston, and met Steve Fanale (bassist) while helping to reconstruct the new facilities of legendary New Alliance studio in Cambridge, MA. Producer/Engineer Sevan Minassian secured a staff engineering position and Bacchus King was one of the first bands to record at the new Cambridge location.
Cover artist Joe Niedbala has created logos and album art for Boston hardrockers Roadsaw and Half Cocked, but is probably most well know for his long association with Nashville Pussy. Like Bacchus King, the cover design pulls from many directions including English psychedelia as well as late 1960’s San Francisco poster design.
