MAMMAL : An endothermic vertebrate w/hair or fur, fat, nails OR CLAWS.

Mammals get their name FROM females w/specialized glands called mammary glands (secretes milk for nourishment)

& 4 chambered heart

& ENDOTHERMIC

& Live in almost every environment

& Skeletal Structure made of bone

& Largest & most well developed brain

& RESPIRATION: Lungs w/diaphragm

& Vocal cords for sound

& Senses such as sight, smell, taste & hearing

& REPRODUCTION: Internal Fertilization

3 TYPES OF REPRODUCTIVE MAMMALS MONOTREMES: (egg-laying) the mammal reproduces by Laying eggs that are incubated by mother’s body heat. Echnida Duck-billed platypus

MARSUPIAL: Young develops inside the mother’s pouch -- Such as kangaroos, koalas, & oppossum

PLACENTAL: YOUNG IS DEVELOPED AND NOURISHED INSIDE MOTHER’S BODY UNTIL BIRTH.
